Can some of you share your thoughts on the older Lews Tournament Pro (TP1H) model?  Came across a couple. Didn’t k own if I should pass them up or pick them up?  I currently have a Tournament MB and didn’t know if it would be a step back?  Thanks for your opinions.

I have three of them and love them.  Depending on the price I wouldn't hesitate to pick some up if you have the chance.

I ran a Tournament Pro G against my Shimano Chronarchs for a couple of seasons and honestly found it to be far less 'fussy' as far as brake settings and it fished every bit as good and dare I say even better. In fact I liked it so much that I've picked up another as well as a couple of Pro Z's and will be on the lookout for a few more.

Best reels I've ever used. Honestly no comparison to the mb. I know lots of guys say they're similar but the tournament pro is much smoother and just all around better feeling reel in my opinion.  Of course it should be it was 60 dollars more. I'd love to run across a few in good shape. Sold all mine to a buddy and have regretted it!

I have several of the new ones. Like them a lot but still prefer the older ones. The pro g was nice but the first gen were the best to me

I’d take the original tournament pro over any newer Lew’s reel. They are much better quality and fit my hand better.
