I probably average 20 hours a week fishing between late April and mid-October. I do cut a few feet off each year but that's about it. Probably isn't as nuclear green as it once was, but it doesn't revert back to white like some of them do. Looking at you Spiderwire.... looking hard at you. Yes, definitely not my experience with flash green Smackdown (or any other braid). I have now been using it for 3 months, 10# on one rod and 15# on the other rod. Each rod gets about 3 hours of fishing per week. That means 2 casts per minute for 3 hours per week. The line on both rods is faded to a lighter yellowish green. Not white, but definitely not flash green. But for the handling alone I will buy Smackdown again. I love the thin diameter and I've had ZERO wind knots with either rod. 1 Quote

I have 10 or 12lb green on another reel and that has faded to more of a green-yellow over the last two years. The 40# is still quite green though. 1 Quote
