Super User jbsoonerfan Posted March 27, 2020 Super User Posted March 27, 2020 Good morning all you cool cats and kittens, if you didn't get that then you haven't watched the Netflix series Tiger King. Being as that I live just 20 miles from where part of this story is set it really was interesting to see what all actually went on. Joe was pretty much as he is portrayed in this show. I had only been around him a couple times and he was "interesting" to say the least. Just wondering how many have watched this since we are basically home bound. BTW, not everyone from Oklahoma is like the people on the show, just some of us LOL 1 Quote
Finessegenics Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 I'm gonna get started this weekend! Everyone's talking about it, looks like a great series Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 27, 2020 Global Moderator Posted March 27, 2020 Some pretty methed up stuff in this series! Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted March 27, 2020 Super User Posted March 27, 2020 Saw the trailer @jbsoonerfan last night, kinda different but not high on the shelter in place binge watch schedule. Started “Hunters” on Amazon Prime instead, looking forward to “Bosch” season 5 next month. “Ozark”, season 3 starts today on Netflix and will be next up on our must see list... Be well everyone Quote
GReb Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 I watched the 1st episode and was kind of scared to see where it was going afterwards. Quote

volzfan59 Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 We watched the first four episodes last night. Goodnight, it was like passing a trailer park after a tornado, you can't help but look! I'm pretty much addicted now. As a disclaimer, I grew up in trailer parks. Thankfully, not while a tornado was coming in. Quote
SWVABass Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 That was some of the most ridiculous, weird, unable to put into words s*** I’ve ever seen. The liger people I just down right weird gave me the willys listening to that one gal. Pretty crazy ending to it all too, maybe next will be the new lion king. Quote

Thankfully I'm still working so I don't have time to watch all this nonsense ? Quote
Super User FishTank Posted March 29, 2020 Super User Posted March 29, 2020 I just started watching it and it's pretty messed up. It's like a train wreck that you can't turn away from and I have to admit, I am fascinated with the animals. I have only watched a few episodes but when you think something can't get any stranger, it does. Quote
Hewhospeaksmuchbull Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 I turned this off when I saw animal abuse was a part of the show, is the abuse over the top? I cant stand to see animals being hurt. Quote

schplurg Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 All I needed to see was one of the promo photos to know I will never ever watch this. I'm just not interested in other people enough to care. Watching stupid people do stupid things is at the bottom of the heap for entertainment. "Look! I'm zany!" I hear Honey Boo Boos Mom (or whatever) has a new show too! Joy. The fact that it is the most streamed show right now shows me that I made the right choice. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted April 18, 2020 Global Moderator Posted April 18, 2020 I don’t have internet besides my phone, means I’ll probably never watch it. Maybe when my son is in high school and ‘needs’ internet I might get it. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted April 19, 2020 Super User Posted April 19, 2020 I gutted out the first full episode. Utterly unwatchable. Baseline tv. Quote
Super User Teal Posted April 20, 2020 Super User Posted April 20, 2020 I binged it all last night .. wow. Every time you turn around it gets more and more twisted. 1 Quote

Super User Boomstick Posted April 26, 2020 Super User Posted April 26, 2020 I refuse to watch The Tiger King -- I might be the only person in America, but the one thing I despise more than dramas is reality TV and I get the impression that The Tiger King is essentially a hybrid of both, so not my bag. 2 Quote

The only 'reality' TV I've ever watched was 'The Great Human Race' on NG...it was actually very educational in addition to being 'fun'. (Doesn't hurt that Cat is hot either) 1 Quote

It’s good enough to watch. I recommend it. Like everything Netflix, it starts off slow before it starts to. Get good. 1 Quote
