Before Kistler adjusted their blank there were like a hundred reviews on this rod. I have one and am trying to find what others really used it for but now the reviews are for his new blank. I am wondering for those who have it, what do you love to throw on it? I have it paired with an aldebaran mgl so it feels like an ultra weight combo but I know the blank has a decent backbone.

I use mine mostly for 1/4 and 3/8 ounce jigs. Also have used it a few times with 1/8 and 3/16 texas rigs and it worked well. I love mine, very light and sensitive. I have a Chronarch mgl on mine.

I have it and it’s a great rod for bottom contact but lately it’s been my chatterbait rod and it works excellent  for that. It’s a rod that surprised me with how sensitive it was.

I have this year’s model (4 power) and plan on using for 3/8 Texas rigs.

Interested to know this myself.

Originally they were going away from Northfork Composites. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
