I exclusively drink french roast every single day.  I have a 30 ounce yeti cup that I fill about 3/4 full every morning, as long as I am at home.  When I get coffee at a restaurant or someone makes me a breakfast blend, or folgers, it tastes like dark-colored water.  Anything less than black french roast simply won't do anymore.

On a side note, what's your favorite coffee? My all time favorite is from Mocha Joe's, brewed in Brattleboro VT. My favorites are pretty much a handful of their french and vienna roasts, if I remember right the best of the lot is Brazil Blend 56, Cameroon and Mexico but I have yet to have anything bad from them.

Brattleboro is half an hour from me. Mocha Joe's is very good.

My favorite is Roadhouse Blend from Dean's Beans in Orange Mass. I also like their Sumatran French Roast, Ring of Fire, and about 5 more. I order five pound bags online.

It's about 90 minutes or so from me but I can buy their coffee locally as well as Dean's Beans. My office has the Dean's beans Sumatran French Roast, it might actually be a little but too strong for my liking for someone who doesn't use half and half at home or work. My favorite Dean's Beans is the Mexican Chiapas French Roast. I've had a ton of them and they're all pretty good -- I recall the Ring of Fire being pretty good too. I've had the Roadhouse Blend, but I can't remember what I thought of it.

The Roadhouse is very low acidity,  so it's my choice for drinking on an empty stomach or to have it black.

Sometimes I wonder. Is coffee really that good? I mean, really? My answer is yes, but why do I always say that. Think about it. Does the smell of coffee call you? Do you think, "coffee" when you're driving and go by a  coffee shop? Does even the idea of coffee ice cream sound good?

With that in mind.... Is coffee really that good? Could there be another reason? If you're answer is a definite "YES", why could we always be saying that?

Good thing Caffeine is a relatively safe drug.

That being said, I built a hutch in the kitchen. It's exclusive for stuff related to making coffee. I call it "the coffee alter". I have a real percolator, flavored coffee's, etc.... I think I got a problem !?!

Opps... gotta go. Coffee is ready...:coffee1:

If you use more than 3 words to order a cup of Joe,

we can't be friends

As long as it’s piping hot and there’s nothing added to it, I’m good to go

I love to drink coffee, especially when I'm fishing. It keeps me alert, and makes me cast better too.
