This isn't another corona virus thread so lets not make it one so the thread has to be shut down.... But....

We're hunkered down. The wife says, "I'm making some coffee, you want the good stuff or the Walmart brand?" We sort of alternate, the expensive bagged stuff and the bulk stuff.

I thought....Hey, we're in hibernation here because of this disease thing. Lets keep our spirits up, splurge, and do the good stuff for awhile.

Then I got online looking at mail order fishing tackle....And thought... Hey, we're in hibernation here....

I should keep my spirits up.. and.... uh, oh....?

Stay well everyone.....

I have a TW order I keep almost placing, and St. Croix has a rod on sale that I want. I'm trying to show restraint, but it's not easy.

I do the same. The Walmart Breakfast Blend is not bad. I also like McCafe Columbian coffee. My favorite bagged coffee that doesn't drain my wallet to bad is Starbucks Morning Joe.

When I want the good stuff I go to a local coffee shop and buy a bag of their blend.

Staying off the net and avoiding sales has been hard. I want to save my money in case I am out of work for an extended time. I did however buy a new fishing scale. My current one does not work anymore. After 2 seasons it died. Went with another brand this time.

Coffee, the nectar of the gods... especially if it’s Peet’s coffee.

I have Folgers Dark Silk - big can

Folgers Chocolate/Raspberry - 12oz pack

Caribou Mahogany - 12oz pack

Caribou Mocha - 12oz pack

I think I'm good for a bit

(I like Caribou because A: More selections than Starbucks and B: It's a Minnesota company.)

coffee is good ?

And bacon...

I usually get a big can of Folgers classic roast or house blend or breakfast blend. All good. One cup every morning, sometimes 2 on the weekends.

Never in the evenings. It may not be why, but the last time I drank caffeinated coffee in the evening was 2-3 years ago, and my heart started beating irregular for hours. Woke up the next day and it gradually subsided but scared me a little. Haven’t had but small irregularities since.

We got a Keurig and never looked back. I alternate between 8 O'Clock, McCafe (I detest McD's food, but their coffee is good) and Starbucks Pike Place. I forced myself to get used to it black to cut some calories so it needs to taste pretty good by itself. .

If I'm going fishing I usually won't have any because I'm on the kayak and it's not convenient to have to go. I keep some 5 Hour Energy and I'll take a sip before I leave home or maybe while I'm fishing. Not too much though because it will screw with your heart. If I'm fishing later in the day, no coffee necessary. Just a water bottle or two if it's really warm.

We have a kuerig too, hooked up to a water line. I don’t use the capsules anymore, just manually load the coffee into the cap.

We are lucky to have great coffee shops with ultra premium roast that treat the locals right.  BRCC ( Black Rifle Coffee Company) has a very good selection and delivers like clockwork if you wish.  Many in my area subscribe and it’s a company worth supporting

I always said.... make one of those air fresheners you plug into the wall and it sends out a puff of scent periodically.

Scents you could add to it....

bacon

coffee

popcorn

fresh baked bread

I've never used air fresheners. I'd buy one of these.

Keurig is not enough!! Haha. I make a whole pot and pour it in a thermos. Goes with me in canoe, kayak, boat, bank fishing. If it's a weekend I might make it a Scottish coffee......

I just ordered a couple of my favorite cranks to keep as backups and some more open storage boxes so I can sort this box of soft plastics -- some of it will come with me and some will stay in my cabinet at home for when things get depleted. I also got the rest of my line that I buy every year with BPS's spring sale, so I'm just about set but there are a few baits I would like to pick up as well, but I do plan on buying kayaks so I really need to leave that money alone.

On a side note, what's your favorite coffee? My all time favorite is from Mocha Joe's, brewed in Brattleboro VT. My favorites are pretty much a handful of their french and vienna roasts, if I remember right the best of the lot is Brazil Blend 56, Cameroon and Mexico but I have yet to have anything bad from them.

That said I normally buy the Tim Horton's dark roast because it's cheap and comes out very good in my coffee maker.

Peet's.  I did stock up on several pounds of it.

My all time favorite is Jamaican Blue Mountain which is stupidly expensive unless you have friends on the island a few times per year.

My MIL gets me a pound of it once a year for the wife's and my anniversary - just used the last of it a week ago. Now I gotta wait 3 months for my next 'shipment'.
