Heimslice Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 Just received a new basshunter pro 120 ...just wondering if any other owners have this finish in their cup holders and is it normal...I realize it doesn’t affect the functionality of the boat but it bothers me .... 1 Quote
Heimslice Posted March 13, 2020 Author Posted March 13, 2020 The reply from the maker was : Splatter from spin casting hole for cent tube plug this happens on all boats ... Quote

Heimslice Posted March 13, 2020 Author Posted March 13, 2020 Ugh... it shipped from Mississippi to Michigan .... I’m asking for a discount or something ... we shall see... what ticks me off is the nonchalant attitude from the rep Quote
Shimano_1 Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 I get it that it's not perfect but I've come to realize we are way passed the days of being able to buy anything quality. Brand new aluminum boats with cracked welds. Blistering on hulls of 70k glass boats. In the bigger scheme of things I'd fish it and let it be. Is it right...probably not...is it something to lose sleep over...for me it wouldn't be. Good luck Quote
Hower08 Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 To say that happens on all boats is unacceptable. That should be sold to you at a blemished price or exchanged for a new boat Quote
Heimslice Posted March 14, 2020 Author Posted March 14, 2020 I’ve asked in 3 emails for a discount of some sorts or a free paddle ...anything lol.. No reply ... it’s still a good boat , it fishes well....found some cup holder inserts to use ....I’m not a plastic injection molding expert but I’ve never seen that on any other plastic boat or kayak I’m in my life so the lack of concern is what bugs me most... oh well... fish on! 14 hours ago, Shimano_1 said: I get it that it's not perfect but I've come to realize we are way passed the days of being able to buy anything quality. Concern over quality seems to be lost in modern times ...My travel trailer is full of aesthetic defects brand new ....it’s all price points and speed today ...I won’t lose sleep over it.... just disappointed a bit Quote
Super User WRB Posted March 14, 2020 Super User Posted March 14, 2020 Sounds like you own the problem. I would contact the company management via a written letter including all your correspondence and contact statements, photo, sales rep name and demand a repair, don't settle for anything less. Marc Hufnagel Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 How did this turn out? Decided to live with it I'm thinking? Quote
