I think I have at least one of every type of bait except a spinnerbait.  I'm looking for something under $10 that produces for you guys in small ponds/lakes.   Thanks for any recommendations.

Aren't most under $10??

I use mainly War Eagle brand.

I think @Dens228 is right; the majority are less than ten bucks. Cruise thru the TW spinnerbait pages. I like to buy inexpensive spinnerbaits, and have had good luck with J-Mac and Northland. Hoppy's are also good, and they have a few heavier models. War Eagle, already mentioned, is very good, and Terminator used to be, but Rapala recently bought them. I have no idea whether the quality is still high or not. Stanley is good if you want willow-leaf blades in muddy water; they seem to have a little bit more vibration to them than other willow-leaf blades.       jj

Booyah pond magic or if you really need something for short money the $1 bin at Walmart always has spinnerbaits.  You will need to wire tie the skirt on because it tends to slip off easily but for $1 you can't complain.

Just get a couple of the cheapest ones with a ball bearing swivel . No ball-bearing  swivel , avoid . You want a bait that the blades will turn when it is paused .

Get some of the Compact Spinnerbaits from Siebert Outdoors, with your choice of skirt and go for wire-tie option. Excellent quality for price and perfect for ponds.

I can vouch for those Walmart $1 spinnerbaits, they will catch fish, but he's correct about the skirt wanting to skip off, but that's easily fixed.

Yeah, I've never paid close to $10 for a spinnerbait,  just want blades that spin.

Best bang for me, Terminator.

Bill Dance stuff, Booyah......you gotta have a spinnerbait tied on.

I have caught some nice bass on $1 spinnerbaits from Walmart and met a man who caught a +9 pound bass on one of these spinnerbaits. Booyah makes lots of good spinnerbaits for under $10.

I would be just looking for sales or clearance.  Than you can get a variety to try with out breaking the bank.  last year was the first year really using them and I’m a believer in them now. I just won a 2 pack of war eagle 3/8 black single gold Colorado’s off of eBay.

About this time last year cabelas was blowing out booyah spinner baits in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2spinner baits I think I bought 6 of 3/8 And 6 of 1/2 oz

I caught a 6.3 on a booyah pond magic. Painted willow blades. Skirt was red, yellow and green.

Caught 89 YTD, over 60 were using a shortened TRD with the spinZ. Strictly pond fishing, it flat works

Strike king makes a spinner bait and buzzbait exclusively for dicks called banshee. These spinnerbaits kill for me and they're only like 4 bucks

I was always a fan of the Titanium spinnerbait but over time they changed them and they just aren't as good.

Last year I bought some booyah and they are great - the one pictured has landed over 75 pickerel and 20 or more bass.

You can see how beat up it is, has been bent into shape many times but still is going strong.  I think they are 7 bucks.

Yep don’t over look the Strike King stuff. They carry a big selection of down sized spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. I fish baits on the smaller size. The selection is pretty good.

I agree with everyone else that there are lots of cheap spinnerbaits and they all work and you should buy white ones first. But unless you are getting muskie versions, they all should be under $10. I am willing to pay more, so $6-8, because I like to have a closed loop to attach the snap for a leader (targeting pike), and boyah and war eagle both offer those types and are good and I have used them a lot. Bowfin love spinnerbaits and will destroy them, and I have had cheap ones broken in half by a bowfin.

But recently I switched to the megastrike version that have a hinge for the hook. while I do think this helps with the initial hookset, I think the major difference is in the inability of the fish to shake the hook by jumping and leveraging on the wire.I don't usually mind pike shaking the hook at the kayak since then I don't have to release them, but with these, so far, fish are staying on and not releasing, even when thrashing wildly and/or jumping.
