Hey, just curious when everyone’s favorite brand is. Are you brand loyal when it comes to looking for a particular rod or just go with whatever is best for that application? I am a little OCD about keeping things the same but it’s hard to do that when you’re looking for a particular rod for a particular lure/application.  I love st croix, but Dobyns, megabass, and shimano exprides are hard to resist.

There is no place for being OCD in here, let me tell you I have Shimano shaula and st Croix, and now I an going after gloomis in few days, any of them good for specific aplication.

When it comes to reels I’m a shimano guy all the way, and for rods I do favour gloomis but not against using other. Have 1 kistler, 1 expride, 1 dobyns, had 3 st. Croixs and 8 gloomis rods. Looking at grabbing a megabass this season and some more exprides

I have a couple megabass(destroyer,Levante), a few Loomis (imx, glx, nrx), a few kistlers, a few lamiglas, a few sage, a Winston, a t&t, a few nfc, a couple st croix and probably a few that I’ve forgotten. If I like the rod, I buy it with no consideration of the brand. It’s all function not fashion.

I’ve fallen for the Steez SVF (mostly AGS) rods. They just do it for me. Close second are my Kistler Zbone X-rays.

Been through upper tier of Loomis, St.Croix, Megabass, etc. and all have excellent products... just the Steez /Zbone work best for me.

I have many different brand rods but my favorite is an old G Loomis GLX. Also my most expensive rod. Bought it used a long time ago and never regretted it. It's the one rod that is always on my boat. 7' MHF so its an all around work horse.

I wasn't brand loyal at first but now only Shimano and g-loomis.

REELS: Shimano

I've got a bunch- Dobyn's, Powell, Falcon, etc. But I recently picked up an iRod... and I loved it so I bought another, and I'm waiting on another to be restocked so I can buy it. If you can see the pattern beginning ?

I can't say that I truly have a favorite brand. I have rods from a good number of manufacturers. I will say that my current favorite rods are my 7'6" ML/M Daiwa Tatula Elite AGS, and my 8' H Leviathan Omega swimbait rod.

I am not brand loyal to rods but I have become brand loyal to reels.   I have never owned or used a shimano reel in my life (how this is possible I dont know).  I have tried or used every brand of reel under the sun and now I have almost all Daiwa.

My rods are a hodge podge of brands and I enjoy almost all of them.

I have tried lots of rods. My favorites come from the following brands, Lew’s, St. Croix and Powell. Kastking for travel rods.

For reels it’s mostly Lew’s with a few Shimano, Daiwa, Kastking and Pflueger in my rotation.

Lews and Falcon, not really high priced rods but I like them and they get the job done.
