I have a question I'm hoping you can help me with.

I have a Cabela's ProSport II 12 amp on-board charger. It is a 2 bank unit. I have one bank wired up to the starting battery and the second bank to the trolling battery as described in the instructions. The trolling motor is 12V.

I have a third battery I would like to hook up for use with the trolling motor. How do I wire the 2 batteries together to give me 12 volts for the motor and how do / can I wire in the charger?

Thanks

I would think the only thing you could do would be wire the batteries to a switch and use one at a time. Wiring them together will give you direct 24 volts. With a switch you could also run them on the same charging bank, just use the switch to charge them one at a time.

Just hook them together plus to plus and neg to neg and you will still be at 12 volts. Let me know if you need anymore help.

Thanks!

Should I hook the charger to just one battery or should I hook the positive to one battery and the negative to the second battery?

Leave the charger like it is.  It will charge both batteries that are hooked parallel.  It will take a lot longer to charge 2 than just the one.
