Growing up I listened to The Who, The Kinks, Rolling Stones, Kansas, Eagles, Boston, and Meatloaf.

I still have some of those on my phone but my taste in music is a bit more diverse. I have classic bands like AC/DC and Aerosmith along with country music, Frank Sinatra, Bowling for Soup, Imagine Dragons, and more.

I think with the way we can now purchase individual songs instead of having to buy entire albums I'm more apt to listen to and purchase a wider array of music.

Ya know, there are just lots of good ones and for us boomers there are a ton of unforgettable one hit wonders. But over the past few years I've really enjoyed the rawness of AC/DC and ZZ Top. Kind of fringe, I know and yes, I love many of the bands people have already listed but these two really get me going sometimes.

And for something fresh.... Ask your alexa/google device, or look on youtube because they are great to watch too. for a progressive bluegrass band out of Boston called 'Twisted Pine'.

Always go back to Three Quartets.  Brecker, Gomez, Gadd, and Chick.  You can find videos of their reunion in 2003 for Chick's birthday on YouTube, performed at the Blue Note before Brecker passed away.  There's a spot in Quartet No.1 where Brecker loses the note, and laughs.  Gadd fires him up from behnd the drums, and he proceeds to tear it up on the sax.  It's awesome.
