Mbirdsley Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 So I saw these on a well known tackle site today. They basically allow you to switch differnt colors of blades out on chatter bait aka bladed jig. I don’t really make jigs to sell I make them for myself. however, these would be nice on a jig with vertical line tie like the poison jig mold I’m saving for. do you think using these gets around zman patent? Even just for personal use. I’d like to start tournament fishing and don’t want my door getting kicked in by z-man. because, The fish that won the local weekly tournament has a bladed jig in its mouth that has the blade attached by other means than a split ring. Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 29, 2020 Global Moderator Posted February 29, 2020 I wouldn't be too worried about them kicking your door in over a local tournament. I make my own that are as close a KO to a Jackhammer as I can possibly get for me to use. I see others selling very similar ones on tackle pages on Facebook constantly. Quote

BassNJake Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 My first experience with a bladed jig was the Eaker Shaker You could tie it to any type of jig head Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted March 13, 2020 Super User Posted March 13, 2020 You don't have to worry about Z-Man with that stuff. What they don't like is people putting pictured of their own creations in which it looks as if someone is selling the bait. 1 Quote

Super User Paul Roberts Posted April 1, 2020 Super User Posted April 1, 2020 See the thread "Making Bladed Jigs" before buying these. They work, but needed modification. Quote
