The vision 110’ from silent to +2, has out produced every other JB I own combined. Perch, white get the call most days.  Price doesn’t  bother me as I have never lost one.

I have some of the ripstops as well. I’ve done ok on them, but I find that they take a little more input to get the best action out of them. They take a little harder twitch of the rod to get them to move, likely due to the extra lip on the tail.

I agree. My experience is that the ripstop likes a more aggressive rod action. The lip on the tail does everything it says on the tin, though. When it stops, boy it stops.

My favorite jerk baits & colors depend on what body of water I'm fishing. For largemouth I like pointer 128's in shell white & aurora gold. For smallmouth I like ima flit 120 in chartreuse shad. If fishing the great lakes system or other waters with gobies I like lc pointers 100, 127 & 128 in shrimp. Also like smithwick rogues deep divers in tiger minnow color. Molty brown colors with some black replicate the gobies. Vision 110 +2 in french pearl is a winner for both species.

My favorite one is a Lucky Craft Pointer 100 SP in Table Rock Shad.   Sometimes I will use the regular one, other times, I got on with red hooks that works just as good.

At last count, I had more than a hundred jerk baits, but less than 200.  They lend themselves to collecting.   Back in the day when I was fishing BFL's in the Ozark division there was a tournament every year that had a monster jerk bait bite. In most of those, if you weren't fishing a Lucky Craft, you were fishing for 10th place or lower.

One buddy of mine, who currently fishes BFL's tells me that the Vision 110 is incrementally better than the Lucky Craft and has the tournament results to prove it.  I wouldn't know - I haven't been to an early spring BFL Ozark division tournament in ten years or so now.  But my buddy has, and while he might engage in hyperbole from time to time, he seldom tells me outright lies.   I haven't gotten into those baits yet, but the Lucky Strike Rick Clunn jerk bait is a very close copy of the Vision 110.  I bought a dozen of those and if I happen to get out fishing during jerk bait season, that is a bait I'm going to throw for a while, just to see.

Before I found out about Lucky Craft baits, many years ago,  I had a decent tournament on a Bomber Long A (clown color) where I finished one fish out of the money at 10.5 lbs and I had a different tournament  ( on Grand Lake ) where a big Rapala Husky Jerk, in clown color ( with 3 suspend dots on the belly ) got me several nice fish, again a pound or so out of the money.

I never could get Lucky Craft Staysees to work in a tournament situation, but in practice situations I had a day where on  Grand Lake, going south from Sail Boat Bridge, but before you got to Shangra La - 4 points in a row got me a 19 to 21 inch fish.  That bait had a blue back blending to chatruese sides blending to a pearl belly, with a bright orange spot directly behind the lip of the bait.  With a long cast and 8 lb line, I was getting that bait at least 10' down.  Never been able to duplicate that, and I've tried several times in similar conditions.

Hope this helps.

My favorites: Dynamic Lures J-Spec and now discontinued Travado, x-rap, husky jerk, and deep husky jerk

All in silver hollow, perch, or chrome blue back.

Megabass vision 110 by a long shot. I like the kvd jerkbaits too. Love any rapala but never had much success with their jerkbaits for some reason.  I like a Tennessee shad or emerald shiner in clearer water and a purple back with white and chartreuse belly in stained.

No matter which jerkbait I use, the ones that are blue on the back and orange on the belly get hit the most. I've heard others have similar results

I have a bunch of Jerkbaits, likely throw them more than any other bait over a course of a year.

I know I have Rapala and Luck E Strike.

Prefer suspending and on an overcast day, I'll throw shell white with orange belly the entire day, tiring but deadly.

Plus in clear water you can actually see the white disappear in fishes mouth.

Great thing about Jerkbaits, hookup rate is outstanding.

So far I’m trying to find the jerk bait that I like.  I’d like to find it and buy them exclusively.  So far I have rapala’s in husky jerks, xraps, and orginal. Bought a lot smithwick rouges Last year in different styles year. They worked alright I think they have a wide wobble and work better in the summer. however, by that time I’ve moved on to cranks.

So far I like KVD deep diving jerk baits.  Seem to be a decent happy medium between quality and price.  Chrome/blue back was my most productive one.

i want to try the mega bass and other higher end ones but, we have a lot of toothy critters swimming around in the north country
