skeeterokc Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 In a few weeks, a group (3 boats) will be going to Rayburn for the first time and we have a few questions. We will be staying in the Cassells-Boykin area and we do have the boat lanes chip. Is there a place to have lunch on the water? (beach/tie up your boat and walk to) Are there any restaurants/diners close by Cassells-Boykin area for dinner? (if so what time do they close) There will be two boys (7 & 8) in our group. Any advise on fishing this lake would be appreciated (we have done research, but any info is helpful). Thanks in advance Greg 1 Quote

Bass_Fanatic Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Jackson Hill Marina is a great place to dock the boat and go grab lunch. They make some really good burgers and it’s not far from Cassel Boykins. As for restaurants, there isn’t a lot of choices, but it would be worth the drive down to The Stump by the dam for dinner. Good food and good people. Maybe a 25 min drive. Fishing wise, you can’t go wrong throwing spinnerbaits, senkos, and jogs in bushes on points. A specially if there is grass around as well. You shouldn’t have to go far either to find fish. 1 Quote
