Don't think I've ever seen you make a post where you didn't make some type of reference to your 17 Conquests and/or 10 Metaniums.

14 Conquests.

Here are 9 posts about reels where I don't mention the quantity of what I own.  :thumbsup3:

Not sure about you, but I enjoy my guilty pleasure of reading about high end fishing gear. He has provided a lot of valuable information about higher end gear and would prefer it if he kept sharing!!!

Anyone cast the new reel yet?

Yes, I have.  Casts better than the previous generation (which I had 10 of those as well in case anyone didn't know.... :thumbsup3:).  Spool is narrower than the previous generation and requires less casting effort to achieve the same distance cast, the "17% better inertia" or whatever they called it in the spool is noticeable.  And the finish on them seems more durable, I accidentally dropped one and not a scratch on it.  My previous generation silver ones showed scratches easily.  I accidentally caught three 15lb-20lb stripers on them also, the drags are as smooth as butter too.

Very nice, I think I'm going to grab one for my new NRX 853c when the LH retrieves get released.

Good to know about the more durable finish as well.

Also, it's a smaller profile/frame vs the previous generation.  Kind of reminded me of my Core 50's I used to own as far as it's palming size.

I like my high end gear as well. It's just something I noticed over my time on this and the other forum. It struck me as a bit weird that someone would feel the need to repeat it so often.

I'd like to see all those reels mounted on their partner rods.

And details about what they are used for.

I plan on getting two to add to my arsenal.

I counted 7 posts I made on "another forum" in the last few months that were in regards to my rods and reels and I didn't say anything about what I owned, I'd post them on here but they'd be blocked.

They're all going on Shimano/G. Loomis Conquests.  (1) 905C, (4) 904C's, (4) 903C's and (1) 842C

Did you count all the ones where you did mention it? There's a thread on the first page of the other forum right now where you posted 4 times and mentioned your Conquest/Metanium arsenal in 3 of those posts. I own nice equipment as well. Lots of people do. It's not really any type of accomplishment. It just seems like you do it to kind of stick it in the faces of people who might not be able to afford that stuff. You even go so far as mentioning how many high end sonar units you have on your high bass rig being pulled by your high end truck in your sig line on the other forum.

In that same thread another guy mentions he bought 3 of them and what rods he's putting them on.  I'm not throwing it in the faces of people who can't afford it, I started from the bottom as far as truck, boat and equipment.  I know it's not an accomplishment....lol, they are all just materialistic items, meaningless in the big picture of life.  There are many people out there with nicer and more equipment than mine.  I have 2 sonar units on my boat, both of which are already out of date along with my 360.  I'm not the only one with their nice truck and boat in my signature on that other forum, in fact a majority of the signatures on that site have their rig in it.  Fishing with the best available gear is part of the enjoyment of fishing to me, sorry if it hurts your feelings, or is annoying/weird to you.

I appreciate the enjoyment factor of using quality gear as much as anyone. I don't find that weird at all nor are my feelings hurt. You're a random person on the internet that I'll never meet in person. What's weird to me is feeling the need to mention how many over and over.  Way to completely miss the point though.

I don't feel the need to mention over and over and didn't miss your point; but if your point was the case, those 9 posts I put the links to on this website I would have mentioned it again in those threads.  Also, as far as my signature pic, why do you have a pic of you holding a "decent" bass on your profile pic?  Why not have a pic of a 12"er?  Or why have a fishing pic at all?  Are you rubbing that in the face of those guys who have only caught a 5lb as their PB and can't catch one bigger?

This is turning into a dumpster fire...  I'm out.

Good news, I've never fished a Core 50 so can't compare but I prefer smaller size reels.

I prefer the size of my SLX's over my Curado K's.

I was looking for smallest bait casting reel for couple new light set up I am going to make, and everyone told me core 50 is the answer, so if it is same as core 50, maybe ill put all my efforts on 2020 M.

I'm just referring to the left side plate section that I palm.  The overall reel is slightly larger than the Core 50.  If you're looking for exact match size wise with the Core 50 I'd look at the Aldebaran's.

Was thinking of buying one. Was curious how they compare to the chronarch mgl if anyone has casted both.

Love my Chronarch but I wish it was metal.

I have both and if money isn’t an issue I would go for the new metanium. Retrieval wise they feel pretty close to me in smoothness but casting the new metanium is effortless. It casts farther and feels more solid then the chronarch mgl.

Upgrading my gear this year i found a deal on the chronarch mgl, bought 2 for a bit higher than 1 Metanium. But now you have me regretting it just a tad lol. I still have 1 reel to upgrade maybe ill give it a try. Thanks for the response.

Would have gone Metanium. But the Chronarch MGL is a great reel
