Bummer, mine had quite a few Rayburn Reds but hardly any Chartreuse/Black back.

Oh, and are you a Phan too? I ask because of your username. lol

I was able to get a Chart/BL in the smaller size. Not sure if there were any of the bigger ones. It wasn't on my list since I still have an old Xcalibur in that size/color.

I like Trey and have seen TAB. That "PH" is more a play off those letters in the name JosePH than it is the band. Funny though, there another guy on here with the screen name of Joefish.

When will these lures go off sale at $2.99? Corona fears kept me home this weekend and I blew my weekly lure play money on eBay. My monkey was very upset with me as we have been planning on getting some squarebills for weeks. d**n the corona my monkey and me gotta get to cabelas next weekend! Will I get 'em for $2.99 then?

I see you're in Eastern KY so I assume you'll be coming to the Cabelas here in Lexington?

If so, you might want to hurry as I was there the day before the sale (last Wednesday) and they put them out early. They were going pretty quick so I went back Thursday and bought more.

I think the Spring Classic sale ends on April 1st so these should be on sale until then.

I might go out there again today or tomorrow and grab some more.

Since they were a decent price, and inspired by the black crank thread, I bought extra to re-paint (rattle can).

The first ones I started with is a color shift paint in Purple Fog. It's a dark green/dark purple transition.

It's a little hard to take a pic showing it well, but It looks much better in person....

I believe the sale ends April 1st.  Question is how much your Cabelas had in stock and how much they have left.  My Bass Pro had tons left.

Was able to get out yesterday evening and fish from the bank for a couple hours.

I know it's a little different fishing from the bank but these run VERY shallow, and definitely not the advertised 1-4 ft.

The action is very erratic but just couldn't get them deep enough. Kind of disappointed especially since I bought quite a few.

I would use these in very skinny water where a KVD (or any other 5 or 6 ft SB) would run too deep, similar to a Brat 03. Just another tool in the tool box.

Thank you VERY much for that info. That was what I was waiting for.     jj

Yeah, they'll work great in some shallow creeks/rivers I fish.

Just wish they ran a little deeper. I did remove the factory split ring as I do on all my cranks. I use a crankbait snap.

Has anyone else tried these? What do you think of them? I just found them on BPS website and I can't decide if I should order some. They are still $2.99.

I haven't tossed the booyah ones yet, but since they are the old xcaliburs, they will be awesome. Like others said they run a little on the shallower side, but the have a wide roll, and aggressive action. I always thought of them as fishing much larger than there size, as they punch a big hole in the water. Especially compared to a more subtle square bill like a bandit 100. Those two baits are my one two punch when fishing square bills.

I’ve only fished them in the pool but any squarebill that runs decent and has half way decent hooks and split rings is worth 3 bucks! I bought ten of them to help fill up my squarebill box. Guess I need to actually throw them one of these days, I’m totally confident they will catch fish as good as any other square bill!
