Was reading about the lures used at Lake Eufaula in the MLF Tour Event. Found that Stetson Blaylock was throwing a new Booyah squarebill called the Booyah XCS 100. Supposed to be a recreation of the old XCalibur 100. Article stated the lure will be out this summer. But I found it was listed on Cabelas website and in the upcoming BPS Spring Classic flyer. Will be interesting if they are as good as the original XCalibur.

My squarebill tray is almost all Xcalibers, those things had something special going on. The only time I ever caught a double bass was on one of them.

Love the xcals.  I've swam on a couple of occasions to free them of snags.

Monkey's looking over my shoulder as I read this. So I'll have some soon.

By far my favorite squarebill. I hope these new ones are just as good. If they are my wallet is going to hurt for a little while.

However the squarebills in the BPS flyer are not the same. Those are the cranks from the other "Excalibur" company.

Figured it was just a matter of time before Booyah started producing these. Xcalibur Squarebills have a place in my arsenal because they run a bit more shallow than the standard square bill (0-3 ft).  The Nest Robber Real Craw color is a good one this time of year.  I'm hoping for the same colors and running depth out of the Booyah productions.

Edit: Just looked them up on Cabelas. Are they really selling for only $2.99? What a steal.

They also have Citrus Shad and Tennessee Special colors flip flopped.

Well, not sure if it is an error or what. I looked for them on the BPS site and it says not available. Found them on Cabelas for $2.99 just like you said.

I ordered 28, so hopefully it's legit.

Wow, I wonder how these compare to the OG.

When Booyah bought Xcalibur, they bought the baits/molds/manufacturing as well.  In fact, the Booyah One Knocker is exactly the same as the Xcalibur lipless crankbait. Only the name was changed.

So it's not surprising they're bringing the squarebill crank back on the market; and it will be the same exact Xcalibur bait.  The "delay" is no surprise either, given Booyah introduced 2 new squarebills in the past 3 years.  They needed to wait to launch this one.

Cabelas has them listed as 2 5/16" and 2 3/4". Would you say that would be 1/2 oz and 3/4 oz or like 3/8 and 5/8?

I originally ordered the 2 3/4" thinking they would be about 5/8 but now thinking they are probably a little heavier. SO now I am trying to decide if I need some of the 2 5/16" as well.

I think the XCS 100 was 2" - 1/2 oz and the XCS 200 was 2 3/4" - 5/8 oz so I am not sure where these will come in at.

Assuming they will be 0-3' divers as well?

I weighed them about a month ago and if memory serves me, I believe you're right.

These are in stock locally at my Cabelas and I was there yesterday and hadn't seen this thread yet.

I might go tomorrow at lunch and grab some at that price.

So are these confirmed to be a replica of the Xcaliburs?

/\  You're lucky then.

My Cabelas shows them in stock, drove over there, only to be told they took them off the shelf and put all of them in the back. "You can't buy them until the sale starts now"... even though they have been on the shelf for sale from when they got them in a while back.

Why would you not want to be selling a product when you have the chance and instead now save it for later?

You've already had it on the shelf awhile for sale. (:huh7: stupidity)  It's not like they were running out of them if they were just sitting on the shelf/peg.

Might be the case at my store too, I didn't physically see them but wasn't looking.

I'm just going by what it says online and whats in stock at my store.

I'll run out there in a few hours and check.

I'm still trying to confirm whether these are like the old Xcalibur cranks.

The Spring Ad does say Excalibur not Xcalibur.

Straight from Stetson Blaylock's FB page:

@booyah_baits XCS 100 that I caught them on at St. John’s River! This bait is the exact remake of the old xcalibur bait that was so deadly! Same mold, same plastic, and some awesome colors! I’ll be showing you more of this bait as time

goes on?

I also went ahead and ordered 17 more of the 2 5/16 just to make sure I had some of each size while they were on sale. I got an email this morning with a tracking number saying they had been shipped.

Unless it says "Booyah", it's not the same.

Yep, it does on the link below, but the Bass Pro Spring Sale flyer doesn't say Booyah at all, it calls them

"Excalibur square bill". I'm heading to Cabelas in a few and will update my findings.

It looks like the flyer had the name misprinted. The ad shows what looks like the Rayburn Red color listed on Cabela's website. Another thing I noticed on the BPS flyer was that it's on sale at launch and regular price is $5.99.

Looks like everyone was excited for these to be back. Cabelas is showing them as sold out. I got my order of 17 of the 200 size, hope everyone else got theirs.
