a bit off topic, but those MLF scales would bother me a bit. Sprague weighed one at 4-5 and called for a redo because he knew it was off.... changed scales, and it weighed 5-10 . He made the remark .....I wonder how many others were off!

With so much on the line .... it would seem like they would have a "calibration" weight on board. Things aren't as fast and furious with the 2 lb min weight, if I were fishing....I would have them check the "calibration" weight, just before weighing the fish..... just sayin'

They calibrate to 0 before every fish.  My guess is something went awry when they were zeroing out the scale.  It happens.  I've seen it on my own digital scales.

We’ve got a shootout at the top...Tharp, Neal and Wheeler just 6 ounces apart with 10 min to go in period 2. Last period is going to be good!

Wheeler had a scale issue at the first event (last day). Fortunately it didn’t come into play in the final results

These announces are pretty funny. Can be corny, but I love it, I find myself laughing quite a lot. Maybe I like their dumb jokes...

Here's a few from the past couple minutes:

  • If we were in a horse race, we got a Clydesdale on our hands (referring to Powroznik)
  • Sheesh, how long was that cast, must have been all the way up to Lake Fork (as another angler reeled in a fish)

They were also asking if Wheeler I think was drinking a white claw :)

So many good ones, we gotta start replying with our favorites :)

Glad to see someone other (Powroznik) than Wheeler win. He sure got close though! I tend to root for the underdog, at least just someone different to mix things up. Lee sure didn't make an appearance today, interesting. Just goes to show you all these guys are good, its just kind of who gets on the flurry of fish, etc...

Tell me more about the 'swimmin worm' that Powroznik was throwing. Maybe a swim senko? I live in CA so maybe its not as popular out here as in FL. Powroznik said his friend told him you gotta throw a swimmin worm in FL.

It was hard to see at times but I think it was a Speed Worm.
That and a Cut R are my favorites.
I know others were throwing it for sure

They finished up just in time.
Its gonna be in the low 40’s starting tomorrow night down here.

I have to say after two tournaments,  I think the 2 pound limit is a great success.  I’ve watched more this year than all of last year combined.  IMO they should just leave it at 2lbs,  regardless of what lake they are fishing.
