First post guys.  Thanks for any help.

I got a new leaning post front seat with adjustable pedestal.

The butt seat I had was hurting my lower back.  This new seat is much better.

I can't remember who made it or what its actual name is.

I think it's a Springfield but I can't be certain.

Can any of you guys ID this.Image may contain: outdoor and nature

I just used google and came up with this

Not sure exactly what you are needing

Thanks, I found that as well.  The name of the style of seat is what I'm looking for.  The seat was a Christmas present and I didn't have the forethought to keep any of the paperwork.  All I can find is that it's butt seat, but it's more of a leaning post.

This is the most comfortable seat I've had

Be careful with that thing.  I got a very similar seat 18 years ago when I got my boat.  It was comfortable, BUT  - leaning on it placed me closer to the bow of the boat than sitting on the butt seat did - uncomfortably closer if I happened to smack into a stump running my trolling motor and my balance wasn't perfect.  Also it looks to me like the foot control is very close to the pedestal.  Got to wonder how comfortable that is going to be steering the boat.  The most comfortable pedal position for me is off to the left of the post, 10 or 12 inches off the center line, steering with my left foot and right foot moves to brace depending on which direction I'm casting.

When I first got my boat, I tried putting the foot steering centered like you've got it and it was uncomfortable.  Maybe the tray for the pedal makes a difference, I don't know.

Anyway, I do know that for me the leaning post wasn't nearly as "safe feeling" as sitting on top of the butt seat feels.

It does seem a little close to the trolling motor, but that's just how it worked out.

I have a deck extension that makes the entire length of the casting deck 6' long.

Unfortunately, the seat mount installed at the factory didn't back up further than the standard deck does.  It left me with a little room, but not as much as I had hoped.

The recessed tray does make a huge difference to me.

I tried it with the foot control mounted on the deck and that was super unstable and uncomfortable to boot.

The tray makes it much more natural to steer.

A butt seat hurts my back.  Leaning has been the perfect answer so far.  No more back pain even after a long day.

The picture shows how close to the bow everything is mounted.  Not much room to work with.
