Some of you may have heard about this but I need to get a few to try this summer on the creek. Jackall Micro Pompadour!!

Carries a hefty price tag of $27 for such a small bait, only 42mm. I’d guess it’s worth it though. Seems like the perfect size for creek fish.

With a price tag like that there is no danger of me ever buying one.

That bait is a reproduction of this ~

The Heddon Crazy Crawler has been around I'm guessing 50 years -

My Dad fished one when I was a boy.

Works great - costs quite a bit less.

If your creek smb are going to eat that,

they'll eat this.

I had one 64 years ago.

If you order them from a shop in the US, you can get them for at least $10 cheaper each.

Not correcting, just adding data.  One of us is maybe quite long in the tooth.  I bought a couple of the crawfish cranks you were recommending a while ago.  Pressure is on you now.  ?

 Added weight gladly accepted.

I have confidence you have the skill & experience to

unlock the magic.

Nice! I might have to try those out on my creeks and rivers this year.

My experience with the Crazy Crawler was that it was basically a fancy Jitterbug, but not as effective.  I also think the soft lures like the Strike King toads would be just as effective, probably more.  For streams/creeks, I think smaller is better.

Done very well on the Pompadour Jr. on Largemouth and to a lesser degree, Smallies. Definitely will p/u this bait. Looking forward to the Evergreen Shower Blows in the new 3" version.
