teamfyss Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 I’m in the market for a glass boat but the pricing is all over the place, most in my price range are either beat up or 15+ years old. Is it even worth my trouble, or do I stick with aluminum until my budget is bigger? I love the platform of bass boats and it’s tough to find aluminum ones, that’s the whole reason I want to go with glass. I’m still gonna be on the lookout, but what should I look for when justifying price? For instance I found a 97 Nitro 700lx with 120hp Mercury for $8000. Looks clean in pictures but I’m going off of zero knowledge. Thanks in advance!! Quote

Dirtyeggroll Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Look for a late 90’s Ranger R series. They are quality boats and will fall in your price range. 1 Quote
RubberDuck Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Nada is just a guide, and you can search for listings to see what other folks are asking for similar boats. How long have you been looking? I found that I eventually got a decent feel for a rigs value after searching long enough. 12 hours ago, Dirtyeggroll said: Look for a late 90’s Ranger R series. Matthes25 Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Shop around until you find a deal. Facebook has taken alot of used boat sales away from other sites that used to be used as such. Shop around and good deals can be found. Bought this Xpress with a 125 for $5500. 3 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted February 18, 2020 Super User Posted February 18, 2020 In my experience, if someone else has it, it's really good as new with a little age on it. If I have it, it's worthless, but someone will take it off my hands for $1000. 1 Quote
