Hi everyone,

I have a question concerning daiwa baitcasters spare spools.

Which is the difference between RCSB SV 1000 Deep spool and the RCSB 1016 g1 SV spool?

Thank you!

Nicola

Based on his question, I think that's exactly what he's looking for.

I just pinged you as our resident reel expert...

The RCS 1016 SVg1 is the stock spool that comes in the Steez SVTW. There's two listings for the same spool on Hedgehog for the stock SVTW spool and the RCS. They're the same thing. I personally love the spool . I also put it in my Steez A's . The RCS1000 is , in my opinion , a faster less aggressive braking profile. This is of course dependent on what reel you put it in. It behaves differently in different reels. The 1012 used to have a strong following back in the day as well.

Good info.  I am a big fan of the 1012 and am using a pair of them in a Steez A. The one full of 40lb braid Has plenty of capacity, but I want to put 18lb Shooter on the other one But there’s nowhere nearly enough capacity.  How does the deeper RCS1000 compare in performance to a 1012?

I would ask on the tackletour forums.  You'll probably get w thesis paper on the difference in braking profile and applications.

Nice suggestion! Will do :) Thank you

Do you think it will be compatible with a Morethan PE TW? How many meters or yards of 20lbs fluoro (0,38mm) can it host? Thank you :)
