MarkVA Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 I'll start: Solar Bat! Specifically, the Mossback Green gradient lenses. It's like having 2 pair in one. Quote

walleyecrazy Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Costa Reeftons are by far my favorite pair of sunglasses. I actually like them enough that I now own three pairs of them. 1 Quote
Super User FryDog62 Posted February 11, 2020 Super User Posted February 11, 2020 Had most every major brand - last two purchases have been Costa Green Mirror. Would never go back to anything else. Prozac for the eyes... 2 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 11, 2020 Global Moderator Posted February 11, 2020 I've got a couple pairs of Costas that I really like, just wish the glass was a little lighter. Had a pair of Revos I liked too but I broke them Saturday ? 1 Quote
rtwvumtneer6 Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 For $60 Eye Surrender ESE work well for me. Grey for general purpose and I like the copper lense for sight fishing. Mine came in a hardshell case and if you break them they replace them for $20 S&H fee. ***Note that I have never paid more than $100 for sunglasses, so I'm not trying to say these are the best available. But, IMO these are much better than any budget eye wear I've ever used. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted February 11, 2020 Super User Posted February 11, 2020 I have a stupid shaped head so finding glasses that are comfortable is a task. My Costa Jose's feel too big but my Costa Fantail's are too tight. The Jose's have green plastic lenses and the Fantail's have blue glass lenses. I like the green plastic better but the Jose's feel like they are going to fall off when I bend over but the Fantail's feel like they are going to pierce through the side of my melon at anytime. I have a pair of Oakley Gascans with gray lenses and the frames are WAY too big. I also have Oakley fives squared with silver lenses and they fit the best but the lenses aren't as good as the Costa's. I have some Oakley Gascan Small glasses without polarized lenses so I may order some lenses for those and give them a shot. Quote
swhit140 Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 The only pair I've had/used is Costa's, I had them for a very long time. The lenses were starting to delaminate. I simply had to send them in for replacement and received a new pair & case. The service and replacement was easy, if I ever need to buy glasses again I know what brand I'm buying again. 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted February 11, 2020 Super User Posted February 11, 2020 Just got a pair of Costa Fantails from Santa last Christmas so I haven't had a chance to use them yet. Their warranty policy and hard case are also a selling point. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted February 12, 2020 Super User Posted February 12, 2020 Costas and Smiths for me. Both have served me well. Quote
Big Swimbait Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Costas, but nowhere but from here: (Most of the ones mentioned here also) https://www.steepandcheap.com/sunglasses?p=gender%3Amale&fl=true Quote

Currently Costas with glass lenses or one of my old Oakley’s that I keep replacing the lenses and rubber pieces cause hey, I’ve already got the frames. Quote
txchaser Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Costa 580P's in green mirror and whatever they call the dusk/dawn color. I get the P's instead of the glass because I like the eye protection. Quote
Revival Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 - Costa Reefton green mirror - Costa Reefton silver mirror - Costa Blackfin green mirror All in 580p Quote
WI_Angler1989 Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 +1 more for Eye Surrender! They aren't crazy expensive and vastly put perform other glasses in that 60$ range. I used Amber lenses for the last 3 years with GREAT success. I'm looking to get another pair one of these days too. Quote
zell_pop1 Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 My Kaenons with a Trivex lens were just as good at looking in the water as my Costa 580Gs, but had better protection like my Wiley x pair. So to me find a pair of Kaenons or Smith Optics or Costa prescription glasses that have the Trivex lens. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted February 13, 2020 Super User Posted February 13, 2020 Maui Jim Makaha's..in black iridium. With readers, of course.. Quote
RB 77 Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 Costa 580G. Simply the best IMO as far as optical clarity goes... Quote
