I just caught a little bit of the BPT action and saw where Jacob Wheeler had 3 graphs at the bow and 2 at the console. I am not sure what he runs but I am guessing he is at between $20 - $30,000 total in electronics all together. I realize this doesn't come out of his pocket, but dang, where does it end? How many graphs does one need? He has more in graphs than some people do in trucks and boats combined (me) LOL

Fish finder envy has no bounds! I want four screens up front, and a heads up display at the helm, and a mind controlled TM, and a puppy. :P

I have no clue why he needs them when he keeps his TM on 90% flying around all day. I fished around him here in Knoxville last year when the classic was here during practice and dude was humming all over the place

Yes, this did come out of his pocket this year. Keep in mind he is the highest ranking professional bass angler in the country right now (according to BF). A win is worth $100,000. Making the cut into the top-40 is worth $10,000. Why wouldn’t you invest in the absolute best equipment/technology at that level to try and give yourself an advantage over the competition?

I might could see Aaron Martens using them. Maybe one for each fish he is trying to dropshot on top of. LOL

He'd still end up in second place...

If my livelihood depended on me catching fish, I would have the best tools to do the job. The reality is, there is much more to fishing than just finding fish. It's difficult to find, but look for unedited underwater footage. All the technology in the world can't make fish bite. Study the fish.

He has two recent videos he posted on his channel, explaining what they are, how he utilizes each one, and why he chose each one. I’d post them but my phone is being stupid.

He even says he paid for each one out of his own pocket and I believe he explains why he did that as well.

This is the second one. The first was him at the console.

It won't end until the deck of the boat is just one giant, glorious screen. Then you'll need drones to deploy remote transducers all over the lake, a personal satellite to coordinate the data streams and an AI to tell you location, presentation, and to automatically cue dubstep bass drops during your hooksets

And you'll still lose to an older guy with a Hook 4, fishing a homemade black and blue jig with the last remaining Uncle Josh's pork trailers.

I watched both his videos - he does go on to explain that he only uses his electronics 30% of the time since he is fishing in less than 7 feet of water (makes sense to me) but if that 30% makes him place in the top 10, it is worth it.

I did like the fact he had multiple manufacturers on his boat

I have finders that go in front and on the console for the new boat but I am not flush mounting them due to the winter and freezing temps here in Illinois - but that being said, I only run my electronics when I go to certain lakes, the one lake I predominately fish I dont even take the finders from home as it is a hydrilla muck infested lake where they wouldn't work anyhoo. (yes, not even side finder)

I'm still waiting for VR glasses that make the water appear clear enough to see all the info projected into the right spot. Integrated 3d bottom and side scan projection, waypoints, etc.

It won't be long till they move the electronics off the screen to a box, and people start putting 24" curved screens up front.

I have a little Garmin, you know the vertical kind about the size of a cell phone. I look at it as I'm going along. I think..ooo look at all the pretty colors. I use it for my speed and depth mostly. Once and awhile I'll see a fish go by. I get excited and then it exits the other side of the screen. I sigh and return looking at the pretty colors.

I've only had it two years. I always wanted one and now I have one. The pretty colors sold me. I recently discovered you can change them in the settings.

I'm a simple man.....:confused-8:

Both fisherman and addicts are liars. Imagine the concocted stories that would be told, about the one that got away. The exaggeration of weights and lengths would be unbelievable.

He actually did, he has 3 12v lithium batteries and a 36v backup lithium battery. Basically 5 grand worth of batteries at least.
