Zangof Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 https://majorleaguefishing.com/featured/bass-pro-tour-enacts-variable-minimum-weight-for-2020/ Seems like a big change that people have been asking for that I really like. Makes it still a catch lots of fish game but limits it being a dinkfest. I wonder what limits at other lakes could be since it reads like a lake by lake rule. 1 Quote

That's funny. The MLF app pushed it to me today like it was a new article. Did not even look at the date on it. Quote
Jim- Indiana Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 There is not much doubt, at least for Eufaula, that the 2lb minimum was well received by most viewers. Eufaula seemed to have plenty of fish in the 2 to 3 lb class. Although Florida is known for it's giants, Okeechobee really doesn't have a good population of 2 to 3 pounders ..... lots of fish from 1 to 2lbs, then it goes up to the larger fish. I surely hope we don't have to listen to JT and Marty hashing it out, while waiting for them to go to a "scoreable" fish catch! I would rather watch and listen to the anglers, even if they are not catching them! 3 Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted February 19, 2020 Super User Posted February 19, 2020 It will be interesting to see what happens when they're fishing northern lakes later this year. Quote

It shouldn't be too different from how any other tourney would go up north. They only get so big and there are not as many, unless they are on a good smallmouth fishery. 1 Quote

buzzbaiter83 Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 I love the 2lb minimum. It’s made it more interesting for me. I’ve spent more time watching MLF live this year already than all of last year combined. Quote
