I don't know, but every time I've used Cabela's "Contact Us" form for a product question, I've received a reply within hours.

I did ask them and they sent this back to me:

Hello Joe,

Thank you for visiting Cabelas Product Information Department,

The Guardian units are made by a private label manufacturer for Cabelas. Unfortunately I do not even know who makes them. But if in the future you should need the rearming kit we would be able to get it by parts request. Otherwise we have them now as well, if you want to get a couple. If you have further questions feel free to e-mail us again, or log on to our "live chat" page. You can click on "Customer Service" at the top of any of our webpages, we would be happy to assist you. Thank you for using Cabelas.com.

Sincerely,

Shane

Could you tell me who makes your Guardian 3500 Manual Inflatable PFD? I want to buy one but since its in your Bargan cave, I'm wondering if I will be able to get a recharge kit for it in case I would need one.

Thanks

Joe

Hi Joe,

Just as a suggestion, I'd make sure to try on that PFD before buying.  I tried the Guardian 3500 in the store and did not like the way it fit.  Besides being uncomfortable, it seemed to ride high and was too short.  I'm 5'10 - 230 lbs and I'm not sure these vests were designed for guys with my build.  I wound up with a Sospenders instead.  A bit more money, but where safety is concerned, easily justifiable ;)

I bought the Guardian Series Tournament Auto/Manual and wore it on Sunday. I've never worn an inflatable PFD before so I don't have much in the way of comparison. I can say I was happy with the way it fit and it did not interfere with fishing. It's heavier than I imagined it would be (from looking at the picture lol) but again I've never even tried one on before so I have no basis for comparison. I'm 6'2" and 215 pounds.

I pick up two of the vest, they were on sale for $64.95 each, when I went to check out they took another $20.00 off, $54.95 you can't go wrong. I was just wondering who made the vest in case Cabela's stop selling the recharge kits. Also they had free shipping for orders over $125.00, so I picked up a few more goodies and got free shipping.

Made my day ;)
