I noticed this on TW today and I was just wondering it if anyone had used it and what they thought about it. Doubt it’s been used much since it says it’s new. How does it compare to Reelsnot and the KVD line conditioner ? Wanted to know because it’s considerably cheaper, it’s a 6oz bottle at 7.99 and I believe reelsnot is 2oz at 9.99.

Also, If you haven’t tried this new lews conditioner how do reelsnot and kvd one compare? Thanks!

Haven't tried Lews yet but I have used both Reelsnot and KVD. Reelsnot has a greasiness to it and even leaves a slick in the water. Not really a fan of it. I much prefer KVD.

Anything is better than Reelsnot. It might've worked really well on my line... dunno, I was too busy trying to keep fish from taking my rod with em after a hookset.

It's funny because it's true. I do think it will make braid cast a little further but the slimy coating is unacceptable

I bought the Lew's line conditioner haven't used it yet. It's in a clear bottle which is nice compared to the Reelsnot and KVD bottles you can't see through. It is a water based formula so it doesn't look like it's going to be the slimy oily reelsnot type of spray.

I can do a review but it will be awhile.

Thanks! I prepare a huge TW order before each season and it usually keeps me stocked up until next year. Gonna order the Lews sometime soon too, but probably won’t use it until May. If I don’t forget, I’ll message you around then to ask you how it’s going.

I ordered mine during Black Friday from TW

I should be using it in April if all goes well with our predicted ice out.

I have tried other line treatments and have returned to KVD because the special polymers in Line & Lure are hydrophobic (water repelling) and very slippery. It doesn't allow water to draw back on to the reel spool, which eliminates the line drag that a "wet" spool has. It also protects the line from wearing out as quickly as un-treated line because it resists the abrasion that wears line out.  It contains no oils or solvents as in other products that can build up and collect dirt like silicone/oil treatments will.  This is from the company.

On a side note, I have used the bass pro version of this product and had good results.  My assessment would be that it isn't quite as good, but pretty close for less money compared to the KVD.

So I had been wondering if the KVD stuff was/is still available?

The BPS's here basically stopped stocking it like 3-4 years ago

and only have their version of it. And I wondered if the bps stuff was any good....

I love the KVD Conditioner. Sadly I've not needed much as I have not

been fishing much the last 2 years .... plan to change that!

I have used the Lew’s line conditioner on two combos I have used so far this season. A baitcaster spooled with fluoro and a spinning reel spooled with 8# mono. Sprayed it on the line and rod guides.

It seems to work better than reel snot as no oily residues left on the line. I noticed the line on both reels were tame as opposed to untreated line. Especially on spinning reels the line didn’t have the coils that my untreated line usually has.

One thing I have to mention is this stuff smells good! Like cologne good! I was thinking of spraying some on my chest but the hair On it would get all relaxed ? from the conditioners. No joke this stuff has a very pleasant odor.
