Aye! So I am putting together a "Truck Rod". I have a Duckett Ghost I have had for years still in great shape. Can't decide between reels!

13 Fishing Origin C $79.99 (eBay)

Quantum Accurist S3 $89.99 (Amazon)

Bass Pro Qualifier 2 $89.99 (Bass Pro)

All within the same range price-wise. It'll be a "Universal" set-up with 12# Flouro.

Putting together a Truck Box as well.

Simply;

2 Spinnerbaits (White and White and Chartreuse)

4 Cranks (Different colors)

3 Jigs (Different Colors)

A few different soft plastics

2 Jerkbaits

3 Swimbaits (Paddle Tail)

Terminal tackle. Maybe a few more things.

What should I do? I like that "Flipping Switch" on the Quantum. Been a 13 Fishing fan for awhile. Never owned a bass pro reel. All my reels are Shimano right now. But I wanna use something different for this rod.

My suggestion is to select the reel you have the most confidence.

Seems like it would be the 13 or the Quantum.

I'm not slamming your options, but suggest considering a Daiwa Fuego, too.  Great reel for the money.

The Bass Pro Qualifier 2 is a good reel, my brother has three of them and are his favorites.  They will be on sale here in another month or so when they have there spring sale most likely.  Usually about $50.

You can get the pro qualifier for around $50 when they are on sale which should be soon on the Spring Sale. The thumb switch also serves as a “flipping switch” if I remember correctly on the Pro Qualifier reels.

Gotta have a frog in a lineup like that. If I could only pick one, the Booyah Toadrunner in the Ole Smokey color did some serious work for me this last year. You won't  be able to get way deep in the slop with 12# line but you can certainly  fish edges and sparse areas.

If you want to try a Quantum, I am not a fan of the Accurist but the Vapor has a been a good reel for me so far.  Check out Simmons Sporting Goods on eBay.  You can call them and they will pretty much give a good deal.  I picked mine up for around $75.  It's surprisingly buttery smooth and casts really well.
