I am in the process of shopping for new boat accessories for my upcoming build. In the other boat, I mounted my transducer to an old Minn Kota trolling motor that I took apart. I liked being able to raise the transducer in shallow water and having the keg to protect it as well. In this boat I will be running two Garmin 93sv plus units in the bow and possibly another in the back. I will be using a piece of 1' thick starboard to prevent holes. I would like to glue it with 3m 5200 if possible. I am also looking for a mount to raise the transducer in shallow water when need be. link to products im considering below.

That's what I use.  That's a good price too!  I paid $20.

I screwed mine using the screws tracker had the cheap transducer installed with.  The rest was glue.  Check out the link and scroll through pics to the side with holes in it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I53APTK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_zd3mEb160W7S3

I carved out hols in mine, I then made small drill holes going at an angel from inside the holes.  The thing is most glues will not stick to that stuff.  But glue will hold it's shape.  Rather than have flat glue between boat and board, I gave the glue something to grip inside the board.

After all dries, you can mount anywhere on the board.  Even where you have lots glue.  The screws will grip just the same

ok so what you are saying is that those small holes are next to the transom and fill with glue to give it more grip than there would be with a flat surface correct? I now realized that I probably won't want to lift the transom mounted transducer up because it will mess uo the leveling. I found an informative video on how to do that attached below. I am many months from getting the boat on the water though. I originally wanted a way to protect the transducer if I were to beach the craft. I guess this isn't an option?

Call up https://www.transducershieldandsaver.com/ and see if he has a suggestion for a spring back bracket for your specific transducer, I don't see that he offers one specific to garmin on his website. I have my Humminbird SI transducer mounted on a TSS spring back bracket. if you beach or hit a log, it pops up and then back down to prevent damage to the transducer. I broke off 2 SI transducers on my previous boat not using the bracket. I'm 7 years now with a spring back bracket and 7 years without breaking one off.
