Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted February 4, 2022 Author Global Moderator Posted February 4, 2022 I got squirrel number two today. The hole in the previous picture is where you can see a yellow grocery bag in todayās photo. I put the bag in the hole to monitor when the squirrels go in and out. Once they stop Ā knocking the bag out of the hole for a few days I cover it up with wire mesh or flashing or both 5 Quote
Bassin' Brad Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 One of these skunks dug under our chicken pen and killed a hen. I set a live trap and a couple leg holds and the leg holds scored back to back.Ā 4 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 7, 2022 Author Global Moderator Posted March 7, 2022 Sorry to leave yāall hanging. Hereās a squirrel job from todayĀ hereās a flying squirrel job where they were getting under the metal roof into the walls of a log cabin (donāt get a job trapping if youāre scared of heights)Ā and hereās a mole I caught Friday, set the trap Thursday . Thatās quick for a mole haha Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 7, 2022 Super User Posted March 7, 2022 I had a mole in the basement a few weeks ago. He eventually got stuck in the dogs' water bowl. I was gonna just put some cardboard over it and let him free, but my wife let the dogs down stairs. My GSD "rescued" the little guy by picking up out of the bowl and dropping him on the floor. When he tried to run away, the dog ate him, lol.Ā 1 1 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted March 7, 2022 Super User Posted March 7, 2022 Would have been my wife's plan, too.Ā I think she dislikes moles more than snakes....and she really hates snakes Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 8, 2022 Author Global Moderator Posted March 8, 2022 Somehow I caught and released a mouse .Ā 2 Quote

I doubt he paid much attention to the air soft hahaha.Ā Ā I used to rent a log cabin that was comparable to living in a hollow tree. One time me and my wife (girlfriend at the time) were in the living area eating pizza. I heard something in the kitchen, looked in there, and a possum was sitting on the cookie sheet I used to reheat the pieces of pizza, licking the crumbs. I walked in there and grabbed it like a cat and threw it outside. Wash my hands, sit back down to pizza. Guess who walked right back into the crawl space and climbed a pvc through the floor and was back in the kitchen 5 minutes later? Same possum. So the second time I threw it like Nolan ryan into an embankment and he walked away upset and didnāt come back for a few daysĀ 4 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 15, 2022 Author Global Moderator Posted March 15, 2022 Boy did I get a laugh this morning. Desparate times call for desperate measures. A squirrel chewed a hole in a dryer exhaust and I have unsuccessfully been trying to catch it on the roof. So yesterday I decided I was going to put a trap on a second story window sill right next to the exhaust even though there was only one place to drive a screw and tie the trap off. It caught the squirrel and somehow held it up there! I could see it dangling and shaking violently when I parked my truck Hahahaha 4 Quote
