If you don’t update this thread soon I am gonna have to stop on the roadside to get my possum and raccoon viewing fix….

I can report that Friday with temps in the mid 30’s but sunny I did see a whistle pig out stirring. He was fat and slick but I figured he’d be underground snoring away.

If I had the one on the right made into a hat I’d wear it to Walmart…

We have some skunk hats, it takes two pelts to make one and they are still tiny

I’m about sick of flying squirrels!!! Having to climb onto to the tops of mansions with steep roofs all day every day. I want to go back to skunks haha

The pet shop I worked at sold them as pets.  They bite when frightened.  they are hard to catch when they get away.

Any suggestions for deterring raccoons around grill?

A few weeks ago, I forgot to change/remove drip pan under gas grill.  Raccoons got in there, up under a full cover, and figured out how to remove it.

Now, even though I keep it cleaned out, they still come up on the deck a couple times a week and pull it out just to mess with us.

Those suckers are deceptively fast.  They can hear me sneaking across my creaky kitchen floor and be gone before I fling open the door.  I'm not yet to the point of donning a gillie suit and sitting out all night waiting on them.
