Picture it through their eyes...you’re asleep in your comfy bed. You hear a noise. You see a bright light. Then a strange being abducts you. A being whom is frugal at buying lures. Probing is a concern. Your life is never the same...

Dead mole

For such tiny creatures they make big hills.  My dad trapped this one.  I got tired of waiting for the trap to go off, so he took over.

Nice! That’s the best mole trap going for a long time, although the same model with more coils on the spring were even better (no longer available).

there’s a very happy medium when it comes to waiting for the trap to go off. I always stomp down all the tunnels I can find, then check again a few days later. The new ones that pop up are a good place to set on. Early in my career I would move them around like crazy, my coworkers always said make good sets and leave them, don’t outsmart yourself. The best method, in my opinion, is somewhere in that happy medium. Don’t move them around too much but do keep them on some fresh tunnels

I hate them things, they will tear up your lawn in no time at all.

Do the poison baits work? They sell them at Lowes here in N.C.

Not really, although most people will claim they do. Moles find food by sensing movement/vibration with their whiskers so I’m not sure why they would eat a stationary chunk of poison. They also sell snake and other critters repellents that flat don’t work, but boy do they sell

I was little skeptical about it... So, traps are the best measure against those critters?

Sometimes you are walking around on the roof of a massive commercial building and a light bulb just comes on and you figure it out......... or you see grimey raccoon tracks leading to the point of entry 8-B246-A17-62-FA-4-AD6-B772-0264866-CF56

Oh, hail no!

I got them all in about half an hour, had to get slightly creative. Got 3 to walk into traps and lifted the other 4 out (one by one) in a bucket

You had 7 with you and I had #8 with me at a farm pond. My lil nephew out fished me 2 to 0. Although I did Texas rig myself into a big snapping turtle.
I had a couple pet skunks that size as a kid. Fefe and rose were their names lol great skunk names, right?
