learnin Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Anyone watch Creek Fishing Adventures or Fishhawk on you tube? Most but not all of what these guys catch are smaller Smallmouth & Largemouth Bass on light spinning gear while bank fishing. I realize it's not what most of this forum's about but they know what they're doing and having a good time doing it. Took me back to when I was younger, could get around a lot better and lived in the south where there are plenty of small streams & rivers. I couldn't afford a boat, didn't have as much time to fish or travel but it was still fishing and a lot of fun. IMO worth a watch till it warms up a little. 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted January 27, 2020 Global Moderator Posted January 27, 2020 Yes and there's plenty of places on bass resource where small Creek fishing is "what this forum is all about" Quote
volzfan59 Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 I love "Creek Fishing Adventures"! I have fished many of the places that he fishes. I really enjoy wading for smallies and even trout from time to time. 1 Quote
Super User N Florida Mike Posted January 28, 2020 Super User Posted January 28, 2020 I love watching Creek fishing adventures. I love the old days when I used to fish like that. Made me pull out the roostertail and found that fish still love it... Quote
redmeansdistortion Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 In the northern part of my state, there are countless small creeks everywhere and many have some excellent trout fishing. I've pulled nice brookies out of creeks that were merely just feet across. Quote

Caught lots of brookies in there though, and even a couple brownies. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 29, 2020 Global Moderator Posted January 29, 2020 I've got 2 boats and a kayak, but I still enjoy wading creeks and small rivers, even if it is to catch palm sized bluegills. Having 2 young boys makes it even more enjoyable. It's Lake's favorite kind of fishing, and if it makes him enjoy fishing that much more, that just makes it that much better. 2 Quote

ohboyitsrobby Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 I have a creek in my backyard thankfully. So anytime I wanna go fishing I can. It makes fishing simple. Launch the ole canoe with a ml spinning rod and a couple baits and have at it. Floated with my 6 year old last spring with 2 baits. A wee craw and A mini buzz bait. 6 hour float and caught right around 70 smallmouth and spots. Quote
