rswell2 Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 What kind of support did you use under your floor? Quote
Phishin Fillip Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Thats inspiring. You did an incredible job on this boat and it will probably last another 50 years. You have me considering finding a fixer upper for next year when i move off campus! Quote
Jim McC Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Great job there. What did you use under the floor for support? I want to put a flat floor in a 12' V-hull, and I need some advice. Thanks. Quote
bowtech_182 Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 Great job there. What did you use under the floor for support? I want to put a flat floor in a 12' V-hull, and I need some advice. Thanks. The floor has some aluminum aircraft seat track extrusion bolted to it in key locations. I have zero flex issues. only the front half of the floor is attached to the boat via aluminum angles. The aft 8ft of floor is laid in place with a slight interference fit with the ribs to prevent shifting with the seat track bolted directly to the floor on th underside Quote
ghogan52 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Are you able to pull this boat with the Honda accord you show in the one picture? Also how much did this total project end up costing you. I am looking a a 15 ft v-hull as a project boat and they are asking $500 for boat and trailer. I am not sure if I can pull it with my Honda V6. Quote

I am not sure if I can pull it with my Honda V6. The accord is my wifes. I pull it with a 1992 civic with no issues. I do live 2 miles from the lake though. I really don't know how much I have in the boat but all my paint and aluminum was free along with all the sealant that used on the floor, so it was a lot cheaper that it could have been Personally I would not pay $500 for another v-hull. I would much rather have a flat bottom and would put the money towards that. My intention was flat bottom until I came across this for $125 Quote
Omaha Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Man, I'd love for a deal like that. 8-) Quote
