Craig P Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 I was watching a Roland Martin program this past week and he showed an interesting to me hooking method for a Senko. Basically two Octopus Style hooks back to back going through a Senko. He said it was to prevent snags. I thought it kind of gimmicky to be honest and just a way to now lose 2 hooks each time I snag. Lol. Has anyone tried this with any success? Here’s a pic of a rig I made to duplicate / show what he did. 1 Quote
Super User Scott F Posted January 19, 2020 Super User Posted January 19, 2020 Looks like an easy way to keep a bass from getting hooked at all. 3 Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted January 19, 2020 Super User Posted January 19, 2020 Hmmm, I would think that just using a hook with a weed guard would be easier. 2 Quote

Agreed and Agreed. Just curious to see if anyone has actually tried this method and what results they have had. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 20, 2020 Global Moderator Posted January 20, 2020 A wacky rig isn't a good heavy cover option in the first place. They've got hooks with weedguards, although I'm not at all a fan of them, I'd use one way before I'd go with that setup. That looks like a solution for a problem that's just going to be more of a problem than the original problem. 1 Quote
