I hate to the the bearer of bad news but I read just yesterday LUND isn’t taking anymore new orders until August/September 2021. Hopefully nobody is looking for a new on this year.

Yep, confirmed with a Lund sales rep. I may have to drive to IL to get a PVB XS or wait for the 2022.

I read they’re not the only brand, Crestliner is another.

Wonder if this is still because of the pandemic and people are looking for ways to fill their time outdoors?  Or maybe they're just now catching up from last year's demand.

Either way, mine is for sale now for only $60k ;)

Pretty much exactly what's going on. I ordered my boat a week after labor day and the dealer I bought mine from told me they were having the best year they ever had. They had no new or used boats on the lot. . Around here you can't find a used boat to save your life and most manufacturers can't promise you getting your rig for boat season.

What I was reading is all their orders have been filled for the year so they won’t take more orders than they can produce for the year.

You’ll probably find some good deals on boats in a year or two when people don’t use them anymore, or you’ll find a bunch asking brand new prices from people not realizing how much a boat depreciates. ?

Oh I think so too.  When these impulsive buyers realize that they're only using expensive recreational items twice a year, they'll dump them.  Boats, RVs, ATVs, Side by Sides, etc

That's my mentality for selling now and waiting until fall or next spring to buy slightly used.

I think the biggest two toys that might get dumped when all the frenzy stops are RV's or wake boats when the lakeowners associations pass restrictions or ban their use.  Unfortunately I don't want to buy either one ? guess I'll just keep my PVB.

I still think you should keep that Lund Predator and tell the ladies to pack a little lighter!

I may be young (compared to most) but I learn quick. ?

So after looking at boats the last two weeks and pulling the trigger, I was initially just going to wait to place an order with my local Lund dealer, which is about 70 minutes away because all their production slots were sold for the year for almost all models. But he said he didn't have any pricing info and if I wanted to I could place the order now for his 2022 slots, but the caveat was that he informally heard Lund's 2022 pricing was going up around 15% due to tariffs. After I heard that, I immediately expanded my search radius and I found a boat with 99% of what I wanted in Wisconsin. So just FYI, 2022 boats might see a significant jump especially for raw materials from China.

Great review.  Just curious- what is the boat you’d consider that is twice as much?

Same as you - Caracal

Mine was a holdover 2016 I bought in early 2017 at a fairly good discount... with a 150 HP I think was approx $33k. I think a new Caracal I saw last year at the boat show was in the $60k range. Like the BassCat, but really happy with the Lund for the way I fish. If they were more similar in price I might consider the Caracal, but no plans at present... How you liking your Tuffy?
