candlewood lake CT

I want to plan a trip to Candlewood and I have never been there. We are hoping to fish the spawn for smallmouth bass. 

If you had to pick a week today (so you can pick your vacation) what week is a great bet?

it's tough and really depends on how warm the spring is up here. the spawn could be sometime in may, or it could be in early june. candlewood has very good largemouth fishing as well which i would not overlook

^^he is correct. I’ve seen them on beds in early May up until July 4th weekend!  If you had to pick a week Now I’d look at the first full moon in June. there will def be fish on beds.
