What baits/rigs have the "death spiral"? Tubes, especially internally weighted have it. Some soft jerkbaits, some shakey heads and lighter Ned rigs also have that spiralling fall. Some have a slow, wide spiralling fall and others have a faster, tighter fall which seems to depend on the combination of style, shape and weight of the bait/rig. Wanted to ask you guys what other baits and/or rigs that have that tantalizing, deadly "spiral of death"?

I'm not ashamed to say I've used those flying Lures and I landed bass with them. They were great for getting under docks and overhangs.

Shaky head worm set up will spiral down  - the worm must be on a shaky head jig type with just the plain bait holder notch on the jig head (i.e. no screw lock ) . The slight hump of the worm on this type of shaky head jig is what causes the spiral .

I've read good things on the Yo-Zuri lipless vibe. I'm going to do more research on flutter spoons. Thanks Tom.

The Gami G-Finesse Trickyhead Shakeyhead has a tight "death spiral". Did well on it this past season with a Z-man Finesse Wormz.

Not a fan of the spiral.  Back when I first became of this - late80's or early 90's, throwing tubes with the internal weight molded onto the jig hook - I liked the spiral but didn't like the line twist it caused.   Over time I realized, for me, that I didn't think the the spiral got me that many more bites that the line twist was worth it.   I don't throw tubes much these days because I think that , in nearly every situation there are better options, but when I do, I use a tx rig with a pegged tungsten worm weight.

The jackall cover craw on a “backwards” weightless Texas rig has a unique flutter to it

Great reviews on TW. From what I've read, it has the similar backward glide/fall as the Fat Ika. Thanks.
