My late father had one of these reels, barely used. It's a big ol' beefy high capacity reel with a "super high speed" of 5.2:1. LOL. I cleaned it well and lubed it and tried it as my Rat L Trap reel. It casts great, but it does not have the instant anti-reverse, which I found distracting. Is there an instant anti-reverse bearing available for it? Obviously, I'm not going to get rid of it, but I'd like to use it and enjoy it.

Pretty sure that wouldn't be doable in an older reel with ratchet anti reverse. Some guys prefer that feature for some applications.

Yes it is! It'll chunk heavier baits a mile. I always keep me some mismatched combos around to justify buying a new rod or reel. I'm currently using a 7' MH "Heavy Cranker" Falcon Lowrider rod as my lighter duty pitching rod because it's the most sensitive rod I have and it has a great tip action on it. But it's not ideal and it would be better suited for Traps. I'm on the lookout for a replacement pitching rod so I can pair that Lowrider with the BMP 350.
