Super User MN Fisher Posted December 31, 2019 Super User Posted December 31, 2019 I'm an old-fart. Have my 2 fingers of Tullamore Dew for New Years Eve probably around 10pm , lights out by 11pm - like every other night. 2 Quote
Super User Tennessee Boy Posted December 31, 2019 Super User Posted December 31, 2019 I may stay up later than usual to complain about the neighbors and their fireworks, but I'll be in bed by 10:00PM. Gotta get my rest. It's gonna be a long day of football tomorrow. Hope everyone has a safe and happy new year. 1 Quote

Way north bass guy Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 I have a big night planned. Already got the dishwasher loaded up and running, wood stove and fireplace burning nicely, snows all shovelled, probably watch the rest of the Leafs game down in the den, maybe have a couple snacks and a glass of wine or a beer with the wife and likely in bed by 11:00. Yup, gonna be a big night ?. 2 Quote

Lost track. . . . A-Jay 1 Quote
Super User jimmyjoe Posted January 1, 2020 Super User Posted January 1, 2020 I used to think I was a boring old fuddy-duddy, and one of few. But you guys make me feel like I'm part of a family, and a pretty big one at that. Thank you, fellow fuddy-duddies! ??? jj p.s.: Sazerac at 10:00, bedtime at 11:00. 2 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted January 1, 2020 Super User Posted January 1, 2020 I will probably make it to midnight. But it's just another day. No need to celebrate for me, I'm blessed everyday and thankful for everything I have. 2019 or 2020, it's all the same to me. Been watching Youtube videos most of the evening. Pretty exciting stuff! Everyone else here is indulging but I am taking it easy. I gave it up and while the temptation is there, my will is greater. 4 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted January 1, 2020 Global Moderator Posted January 1, 2020 We hiked up to the top of a double black diamond mountain bike trail that overlooks town and watched some fireworks. 8-10 humans and just as many dogs. And of Course champagne. 3 Quote

Super User N Florida Mike Posted January 4, 2020 Super User Posted January 4, 2020 Just another night for me. Went to bed at 10:30. Woke up from a dead sleep at 330 from a late fireworks barrage. Rolled over and went right back to sleep. Next morning I awoke, noticed a bunch of notifications from the “ next door “ forum. Seems the local suburbians are disgruntled about all the fireworks. It’s still going on today. They are fixing to start a anti fireworks resolution which will include new laws that somehow will work better than the existing laws that make it illegal already, and they want a new governor that will support the new laws. I’m not making this up folks. Apparently people’s pets are having seizures or otherwise freaking out , and latest studies have shown thousands of birds dying from fireworks each year. I have never seen a dead bird anywhere after fireworks , but we usually have a couple people killed from revelers shooting their guns off into the sky. What goes up must come down you know, and after all , it is Florida ?. You know , the latest “ sky is falling “ paranoia. I think I would almost rather have the fireworks than “ next door “ , but what do I know??♂️ . Happy new year!!!? 1 1 Quote
