Hello everyone, I'm getting back into fishing and bass and crappie are what I'm after.  I've seen Bass Masters own Jerry Mckinnis give a breakdown of the bass species, their habitat, instincts, and anatomical parts.  Is there anything like that with crappie anywhere? If you guys happen to know I'd appreciate any links to the material so I can study it.

On BR, use the search tool and type in the word “Crappie”. You will find a ton of useful info and tips. Otherwise, ask away and someone will chime in. There are a lot of talented Crappie anglers on this forum

I remembered started seriously fishing for crappies last year. I’ve read whatever I can find, behavior between black and white crappie, spawning period, and where they usually hangout during the season.
I have built my gear arsenals just for crappies, 4 casting and 3 spinning. I have tried and true many lures and plastic over the year.
I search mostly from this forum and also crappie forum, also watch a lot of you tube, like Richard Gene, trout magnet man, Ifish and Fish addict. I mostly fish from land but sometimes would take my boat or tube out just for them. The guy that responsible for all these is 618fishing, who get me in love with UltraLight fishing.
I’m still new to crappie fishing and still a lot to learn, but to tell you the truth I got more excited on my first 2020 crappie than my bass lol. Good luck to you, don’t give up, keep reading and go out there and have some fun.
My first crappie of 2020 caught this one on Tiny Trap yesterday.
