Joe_w1234 Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 Got a new reel yesterday for Christmas (Daiwa Procyon). When I went to put the handle on, it didn’t really want to fit in the hole. I did get it in, but now it’s stuck in there, without the knob on the other side even screwed in. When I turn the handle, it sometimes catches and turns the reel, but then it loses it and the handle just spins by itself. Any way to help this I can’t get the handle out of the socket?? Edit: When I put the knob in and tighten it, the reel turns beautifully. So I guess the only problem now is that I can’t get the handle out/off, not that that’s much of a problem. Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted December 26, 2019 Super User Posted December 26, 2019 Sounds like a bad reel - I'd find out where it came from and return for repair/replacement. 1 Quote

Joe_w1234 Posted December 26, 2019 Author Posted December 26, 2019 @MN Fisher and @OkobojiEagle Well this is embarrassing. The handle screws in. And the drag is completely fine, I’m just used to cheap reels that have loud clicky drag systems. It’s just quiet, nothing wrong at all. Well, thanks for your time I appreciate it. 1 Quote

Depends on the 'cheap reel' - My Avocet is pretty loud when adjusting the drag, the Trions less so and the President is almost silent...the more you spend, the quieter it gets. Quote
