The Bassman Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 fishshop.shimano.com. Sounds like you're talking about the A/R roller bearing BNT 2396. Check the schematic under low profile reels drop down menu. Quote

Super User FishTank Posted December 26, 2019 Super User Posted December 26, 2019 If it's the spool shaft, $14 is pretty much the going price. It would probably be more expensive from Boca than Shimano. If you order from Boca it would not be a major upgrade on the over all performance with this particular bearing. If you need the actual spool bearings, Boca's are great. I like the ABEC 5 ceramics. 1 Quote
The Bassman Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 That would be the drive shaft bearing and I believe they're pretty much universal in size (5x9x3mm) You should be able to get it cheaper (Shimano charges 6.00 shipping, too). Try Dad's Ole Tackle, Conroe TX. Easy to bring up on Google. He'll have it and it should be cheaper. Kinda surprised that the Casitas had a bearing instead of a bushing. Bushing would be real cheap and serve just fine. Hope this helps. Edit: Schematic is calling it a spool shaft bearing but it is in fact the drive shaft bearing. Don't mean to refute Shimano but it looks like a goof on their part. Spool shaft bearings are bnt 4343. 1 Quote

If its the bearing that sits below the drive shaft, it's a very easy bearing to source. Boca makes quality SS frame bearings for 5-6$. You can find these on amazon. You don't have to go crazy with the price on these but don't go dirt cheap like RC car traxx /w this particular bearing. Quote

So just to clarify yes it is under the drive shaft, the fun one that sits in its little pocket where it collects water. I matched it with the side plate bearings that the spool sits in and the drive shaft one has a bigger inner diameter and is a mm thinner. Quote
