Super User J Francho Posted December 23, 2019 Super User Posted December 23, 2019 I like to go steelhead fishing in the ditches on X_mas morning, if I don't have the kids. This year, I do, so no fishing for me. Quote

Tom Yule has already passed (that's what the wife and I celebrate), and tonight I'm taking dinner to the parents - they're both 85 and still living independently. If there was open water here - I'd be out Christmas Day as the lakes would probably be clear of people. Quote

Tom We do that on Christmas Eve and my girls spend Christmas day with their significant others Family.and most people don't want you to work on their house Christmas day, so fishing it is. That is if I can figure out how to get them to bite in this 42° Water. Quote

Tom Screw that, I see these people every day. Having the pond and an entire day to myself - that is rare! However, I doubt I'll fish today haha. I forgot about it until now. It isn't too late, maybe I'll go just to say I did. <looks outside>...nah. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted December 26, 2019 Global Moderator Posted December 26, 2019 I thought for sure we would have open water by now. Today was 51 and sunny, but there’s still ice and it isn’t safe. Quote

Fairtax4me Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 I’ve had the last 5 days straight off work so I’ve been on the water literally every day. 23° this morning and the fish were not in a cooperative mode but I still managed a few before I had to leave for Christmas with the family. This 19” 4.9lb chunker was the cake. 8 Quote
