We do our Christmas on Christmas Eve and for years the wife and I went to my brother's on Christmas day to visit the nieces and nephews  but he moved to Florida a couple years ago and daughters spend Christmas day with their significant others family so my Christmas day is open therefore

The wife and I are fishing Christmas eve......well she said she's sitting on the lake bench and read a book.

The 24th is actually showing a spike in temps so gonna throw a jig for couple hours.

I'll be lucky if I'm not working 12 hours that day.

I was planning on going to a cooling lake on Xmas Eve, which is one of the magazine's top 25 lakes, but it turns out we are closing on our new house on Monday so I'll be starting some remodeling on Xmas Eve instead.

Remember those days well @Bluebasser86, be safe. Right around 0001, it was always nice to 10-28 Mary-Robert-Charles-Lincoln-Adam-Union-Sam ?

I’ll probably get out for a few hours on Christmas Eve. Visiting family on Christmas Day.

I just might do that. Temperatures are supposed to be in the 60's on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Normally I'd work on Tuesday and Thursday as we are preparing our hotel to open in February. But the other day a drunk driver flew over a curb and crashed into our transformer. The result is we are without power for 1-2 weeks waiting for Duke Power to truck in the new unit, install it, then have our contractors complete the wiring.

The new place has a 1932sq foot detached garage that has a 93% efficiency furnace, A/C, a bathroom, and 12ft ceilings so I can have an asymmetric car lift.  I already have a bay set aside for the boat and all my fishing stuff.  But I'm gonna need more fishing stuff!

My 2019 season is over lol. I just want Christmas day to get here already so I can idolize all my new fishing stuff (significant other isn't allowing me to open anything beforehand) LOL

I'm guessing none of you are going to need an auger?

The way these temps are I’m guessing all our ice on my lake will be gone by the time I get home from work tomorrow. It’s pretty grey right now and that sun is beating down on it.

I went today for about 4 hours, water temp in low 40s didn't get a bite.

Going again tomorrow with my uncle in law from Georgia and we will be drop shotting deep points.

It's not even a possibility.  Too warm for the ice to be solid enough for ice fishing and too cold for open water fishing.

We're frozen over in lots of spots from the deep freeze on Wednesday night , Thursday, and Friday. My buddy just did 3 hours where he found some open water, but whiffed. Woke up to -2 on Thursday with wicked winds and it never broke 26 on Friday, so they must be seriously chilled. Christmas day will be the fourth day in a row that we're back in the 40's. It's supposed to kiss 50 tomorrow at one point. If I can sneak in a 10:00 am thru 1:00 pm on Xmas day that'll be great! Dyin' to throw my brand new jerkbait rig. Got a new Vision 110 tied on and ready to go. The IMA suspending lipless will be on deck. Gonna drag the new 8" Trash Fish slowly through some deep holes on the new swimbait rig. Hopefully the wind won't be blowing too hard.
