My vote goes to something I wish I had discovered earlier.  That's a BOSS Gary Klein Original Flipping Jig.  I pitch and cast these, they come through cover exceptionally well, they rock a razor of a Mustad hook on them.  The paint holds up to banging them on everything.

They're 5.99/4 and for 3.50 you end up with 5 BOSS skirts to match to your forage.  That's $2.37 for 1/4-5/8oz jigs.

The BOSS jigheads from fishingskirts.com are a lot cheaper if you buy 500 at a time just an FYI.

FYI, Boss may be marketing this as the original Gary Klien flipping jig but.... the original was Tournament Lures called Weapon jig with standard hook eye state of the art Japanese jig hook prior to Gamakstsu and wasn't a flat eye hook. The skirt collar ridge is also a newer addition.

Is the hook heavy wire?

I’ve had a lot of success with the Keitech Tungsten Football jig in green pumpkin.  3/8 ounce.

Dirty Jigs Tour Level Pitchin Jig.   By far my favorite and other than swim jigs it's the only jig I use.

Well, punching and bladed too but that's a different animal.

This is the jig I would tie on if you took me to a lake I knew absolutely nothing about. I also like their football head jigs a lot in lakes where I'll be hopping it off rocks and picked up heavier flippin' jigs for next year when I'm fishing heavy cover, but up in the southern VT, western MA and eastern NY area, 99% of the time the pitchin' jig will do. The hooks are pretty series on these jigs and would take something like a 20 pounder to have a shot at bending them.

I use these a lot as well. They're a solid cheaper and easier to find option than the Dirty Jigs I usually buy.

No one needs 500 jigs of the same size/type at a time unless you are selling them.

Every year around November I made 100 jigs using a single cavity custom mold used for my hair jigs. The hooks cost $35 for 100 each, plus lead and time to mold and paint them. Fishing jigs all year I didn't use up my supply and can't imagine anyone needing any more then 100...

Just a dumb Cajun's opinion but that looks very similar to Lunker Lures Rattleback Jig.

The siebert dredge brush jig my go to. I always have one in 3/8oz rigged and with me no matter the season or lake.
