starkeer Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Not sure if anyone else has done something similar to this but I thought of a cool Christmas idea and thought I'd share. I am in Utah and my best fishing buddy is in Michigan. We decided to each send each other a $25 TW box with no rules on what could be sent. Then throughout 2020, whoever catches the biggest fish on a lure from that $25 box wins. Loser has to buy the winner a 6 pack of their choice. Just a fun to way enjoy the holiday's and pick up some new lures in the process. It's something I hope we continue to do and I cleared out a Plano box just for any lures I might get each Christmas. 4 Quote

Super User islandbass Posted December 22, 2019 Super User Posted December 22, 2019 I would not take up that bet against anyone living in the south. That’s a losing hand for me, lol. Great idea though. ? 1 1 Quote

Utah is hands down more difficult to catch a bass and a big bass. Some of the smallies swimming in Northern Michigan lakes could eat some of the larger bass I've caught in Utah haha On 12/21/2019 at 5:27 PM, 12poundbass said: Sounds like a cool idea. I kinda figured that about Utah, and that it would be relatively similar to my state. I’m in WA state so a 6lb is a hawg. Bigger ones are possible but much rarer. Good luck against your buddy. Keep us posted. Quote

I love the thornapple for the multiple public access points. Last summer I frequented Camp Lake and Wabasis north of town, I plan to begin fishing north of the city much more next summer. What are some of your favorites up that way? 1 Quote

What are some of your favorites up that way? I used to live in Greenville just north of Wabasis. We moved last January north of Greenville to a private lake. Now I fish my lake and the others right next to me (Clifford, Dickerson, Derby, Nevins) they’re all less than five minutes away. I work Kent county so I’m familiar with the whole northern, eastern, and southeastern halves of the county. Quote
