Saw this article yesterday at our very own bassresource.com and I thought it was very interesting. I never thought that a bass would eat a soft plastic they ripped of a hook. I know this article was on the same website I’m posting this on, but I think everyone should see it.

I have found many semkos in stocked trout.  Each time they are completely stuck and there was no hope of the fish passing it.

Yay! My lure collection just got smaller and simpler. Good reason for me to forsake soft plastic forever.    jj

There are a couple of small lakes with nearby housing developments here that I have caught several 20-21” fish out of that weighed 2.5 pounds or less. I suspect that a similar phenomenon is occurring considering the number of guys pounding the lake with Senkos all of the time.

Never throw old plastics in the lake after use.  They are an easy meal for bass.
