I just ordered one.  So far so good, should be here this week or next.  I’ll report back soon.  I’ve ordered tons of kayak gear from them in the past, this is the first kayak.  Never had an issue, so based upon that, I’m hoping the kayak will arrive in good shape.

Mine should be here before new years. It's coming YRC. Ordered a 3waters bigfish 105

I have a paddle kayak, but the bait monkey talked me into a peddle drive:  Old Town Topwater PDL 106.

My wife and I bought ours through them. YRC delivered them.

No issues with AKC. YRC, however, was terrible.

AKC let us know they had been picked up, so I tried tracking it. The tracking number didn’t work so I emailed them. They gave me a new tracking number, which said it had not been picked up. Called AKC, who told me they had definitely been picked up. Called YRC, they said they hadn’t picked it up (another call to AKC confirmed they absolutely were). They never updated the tracking the entire time they had possession of my kayaks.

After 3 weeks, they called me saying they were in front of my house. I rushed home from the store, they dropped them off, and refused to give me 5 minutes to inspect the boats in case I had to refuse delivery due to damage.

Luckily there was no damage and everything was fine. But they were incredibly rude both on the phone and in person while delivering. I called and had it out with customer service that day.

Be sure to inspect the hole where the sonar pod goes. That’s where most guys who are delivered damaged Big Fishes seem to have issues.

Ever since I found out about this kayak a couple weeks ago, I constantly want it. I don’t need it and it would hardly ever get used because I have bass boat and no where close by to fish that I can’t launch the boat, but ...

OUCH! Bait Monkey! Quit biting me!

I was hearing the monkey all summer. It was 10% off on Black Friday and back on Memorial Day it was 15% off, needless to say, I fed the monkey.  The good news is I live very close to many lakes, it will get used.  I have a smokercraft for larger waters..I prefer the kayak.  It’s a blast and relaxing for me anyway.  I’ll be keeping my paddle yak too.

Ordered two Kaku Voodoo, two bending Branches Angler Ace paddles, two Chinnok PFDs, and 2 Visicarbon Pro last year. They listed all in stock. They were only able to fill (1) Voodoo and the (2) PFD. They weren't even able to tell me when the other stuff would be in stock (their website still listed the items as in stock and available for some day shipping). I ended up getting the stuff they couldn't ship locally (well, a 3 hour drive). They did offer me free shipping and their customer service was pleasant to deal with.

YRC was the delivery. They rescheduled multiple times (and I was trying to take off work to receive) and we finally had to call and get them to commit to a date. Kayak arrived well wrapped and undamaged.

I know the above sounds like I'm unhappy but the price was great and other than their continued practice of selling things that they don't have in stock, it wasn't that bad. If I could have bought locally I would have though. I like to support the local stores. Sadly though, Kaku doesn't have a dealer inside of 3 hours from me and it seemed to make sense at the time. I wasn't interested in anything other than Kaku so my options were limited.

I bought my Lure 13.5 from them. Estes was the delivery company. The boat did show up with a gash on the bottom, most likely from a fork lift. I looked it over very throughly, and it the gash did not create an issue with the boat.

I didn't get a lot of notice regarding the deliverly, kinda just called and said we are on our way. You want to make sure to inspect it the best you can, so if there is an issue, do not sign for it and call ACK. The driver wasn't rushing me while I inspected but I also made it clear that I was going to check the boat out.

I just got an email saying my kayak arrived at the local delivery location!  They are scheduling delivery for next Wednesday.  I have to say, so far, the emails/communications have been excellent.

I bought a FeelFree Lure 11.5 from ACK in April ‘18.  I was notified that it was at the freight depot and scheduled a delivery.  I was too impatient and asked if I could pick it up in person.  The freight company said AOK and I picked it up directly and after putting it together I went fishing.

Overall a very good experience with ACK.

In the past 10 years I've ordered 4 kayaks from ACK and never had a problem. They are always helpful with questions. I had to register one of my yaks once and had lost the Manufacturer Statement of Origin (MSO) and the manufacture was giving me a run around. I called ACK and they said they would handle it. I got a new MSO within a week. I get all my clothing and gear from ACK and IMO, they are tops when in comes to customer service.

I've never ordered a kayak from them but have made numerous orders for other items and find them to be hit or miss on speed of delivery and communication. I've waited months for items they show in stock, I've gotten orders in two days.   LOL

Today I got an email from them regarding NRS shoes.  Gee, would that be the same ones I ordered two months ago and am still waiting on?  The ones that were in stock then and show in stock now?  I email and call and am told either

A:  They're in stock and will ship today or tomorrow

B:  They're out of stock and aren't sure when the next shipment comes in

Luckily I don't need them until March.

My delivery is scheduled for today between 9 AM and 1 PM.  Need to unwrap and inspect when it arrives.  I will post up pics today, hopefully.  Very happy with the process so far.

Will do!  I will be setting it up and taking on maiden voyage the weekend after this coming weekend.

Why are you selling Hobie?

The Predator is faster and I don't like that Hobie is continously raising their prices.

I debated that boat, just too big for me to haul around etc.  I am 5'8" 150 soaking wet.

I'm curious to hear you report on the Old Town, especially what your thoughts are on the comfort of the seat. That has been the only complaint I have heard on YouTube reviews.

I will report out.  It looks pretty simple.  The bottom rear bar looks like it could be uncomfortable.  I’ve seen guys fix that with pipe insulation.  I’ll assess that when I use it in about a week.

Got it set up.  I’m excited to get out and use it.  Very happy so far.
