Havock Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Any of ya'll have experience with these rods, or happen to know the difference between these two series? Was considering giving one of each spinning model a try if the price is right during the TW sale today. They only have the 6'10'' ml xf available for the lancer series, but it seems to have a pretty good lure range ( 1/16th - 1/2 ). Was leaning towards the 7' medium xf Viper ( 1/8 - 5/8 ) if I were to get one of each. Saw the review of the casting version of this rod in Medium Heavy, and it was reported to run heavier than most. Havock Posted December 14, 2019 Author Posted December 14, 2019 Ended up ordering both of these rods, they made it to me in around 16 hours, gotta love TW. Seem pretty solid, although I like the finish on the majorcraft rod I had previously ordered a little better. I'll update you all on how they fish once I get out on the water in a week or two! Quote
Grim_Reaver Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 I have have the Lancer 7'3 Mag-MH casting. Very light and plenty sensitive. I'm currently thinking about getting another before they're all gone. 1 Quote
Nick Barker Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 Have you had a chance to fish them? I just ordered the lancer spinning rod and am excited to try it out in the coming month or two Quote
swhit140 Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 I'd try one if I didn't already have 6 rods in the boat. They have recently come out the the pro models of the Lancer & Invoker also. Tackle Warehouse does have the original models on sale/clearance right now. Good time to score a good discount.? Quote
Plottman1974 Posted January 4, 2020 Posted January 4, 2020 I have a 7 foot MH Viper. I have used it about 5-6 trips. I love it. It was a great deal at full price, TW has them on sale right now. It is sensitive, light, well balanced...thus far I love it. Quote
kayaking_kev Posted January 4, 2020 Posted January 4, 2020 Did you pay for 2 day shipping? TW always takes forever to get me my stuff, but I live in Ohio. Quote
